@berthdz how are you affiliated with promos cabin? I've stayed there a few times. My cousins did some work on that cabin.

Finallly......count me in. This year I'm staying away from the "Small White Tacoma" and the guy who was giving me swigs of Horinitos Tequila and I'm staying away from Scotts Dad who was drinking like a champ out there and giving me the mystery liquor.

Basically, what I'm saying is this will not be Spring Break 1998 for me all over again.

"Show your Tits or Bust" I'll be there acting my age (.....well maybe!) See you guys out there.

Hey John...I'm sure we will be out there again and there will be all types of booze. If you start practicing now, you might be able to hold your liquor...:puke:

I'll tell my brother in law and nephew about the meet.
I don't think I'm going to bring my pit down again. It was a pain in the a$$...

Is this a one day thing or a two day camping thing? I've seen this thread for a few years now...never been there before. How many come from DFW?

It's a one day thing but some people drive down a day or two in advance and get a room at SPI and we all get together the day of.

Don't wait on others from your area to chime in just get the ball rolling and "they will come"

    : D

I've learned that if you wait on people to do things with you you'll almost always keep waiting but if you just DO things people will start tagging along and you come across some pretty awesome people. Plus it feels really good when you just go out and do the things you want to do. : )

I go down from McKinney, but then again I grew up in McAllen, which is about an hour from the island. My parents are down there as well as my wife's family, so we stay in the Valley for about a week.

@ink junky might I suggest adding to the main post a way of communicating with the group while in travel aside from cell phones.

    I suggest:

    CB Radio:
    Channel 22

    HAM Radio:
    Simplex 2-Meter 146.52
    or
    Simplex 70-cm 446.0

    FRS/GMRS: (Regular 2-way walkies)
how about also staying on channel 22 although CB can't hear you or you can't hear CB it'll be easy to remember.
