Yeah you hear him stab the throttle just before he lands and I'll bet he was wishing he had 4wd at that moment so the front end would pull out of that when the front wheels touch!

I was at 4160 with a half tank. That was just my normal daily driving.

Place in Chandler where they take cans. The dude was asking me many questions and I asked if I could weigh it. It's behind sonny's

That's fully fueled, 10 gallons spare, 2 spare tires, toolbox-o-shit, 2 ton floor jack, tire chains, "oops I fucked up and can't drive home" bag.
Not to mention sliders, full skid plates all the way past the transfer case, trussed tundra rear end, 4wd, and supercharger. Shit adds up quick.

I was curious because I haven't seen Logan mention any problems with his 50T's. Granted I think he is lighter than you so that could be the difference. He had his rig under 4000lbs at one point, but I think that was before the hummer beadlocks:notsure:

Yeah Jason is totally right. I switched over to Deaver for that same reason. I loved the 50T pack. But I broke a pack one race and couldn't get parts. Jeff at Deaver hooked us up fat. I'm running the E-30 Pack on my truck now. It is the most Closest/Aggressive like the 50T Pack. But it all depends on your trucks rear end set up. Deaver always has the support too, which is nice.

About to buy this used Ford 9" anything I should look out for? Looks like it will fit all my needs, was going to go will a fully fabricated housing but the price seems right. This should work fine if all the info I have is accurate. 4.88 gears, explorer rotors, trussed, same WMS as the front of my truck.

I was wondering if any of you guys that have a ruff stuff axle housing are still running the taco's semi float bearing housing or switched to a full float. I'm still just looking at my options. If you kept with the semi float, did you cut your existing one off and weld it on or where you able to find a new part to weld on?

Ford 9", done. 31 spline, big bearing housing. Way cheaper than a big boy housing.

Jeff's dead on. Unless you're racing, IMO a full float on a first gen is overkill.

Depends on whether you are second gen or first gen. Second gen automatics need speed sensors.

I started to look into the 9" and the rear diff was way more expensive then I expected so I decided to stick with my 8.4.

Yeah I'm really trying not to go full float. It's just what ruff stuff offers. I looked into just a tundra axle out here and they are way over priced. Even on craigslist. I was considering the diamond axle or ruff stuff housing. But I like the fact that ruff stuff can throw a truss on for me. Im just trying to figure out what I'm going to do about the bearing housing. I only have a stick and didn't want to use it on the axle because of heat issues. Anyways... I get your point full float overkill on a first gen. Thanks

    Ok im a first gen.

You can find a 31 spline complete rear end for 4-500 bucks. Something with 3.xx gearing out of a f150 or bronco. Looking at another 3-500 to get your axles Re drilled for 6 on 5.5 and new disc brakes. With new gearing to your application, brakes and all you should be under 1200$ for a stout rear end with bigger axles than you currently have. Not a bad upgrade. But, keep an eye out for a rear end set up for your truck already. people like to upgrade to fabricated housings or just a wider rear end and they might have a9 inch that already has the axles and brakes ready to go. I just sold a 65 inch wide housing complete with disc brakes, currie chromoly axles 31 spline 6 on 5.5 stripped down ready for leaf springs or links for 500 bucks. Throw in a third member and you were good to go. Those deals are definitely out there.
