Looking for a Uniball UCA to help with alignment issues. But I want to get something I can keep/ use when I go long travel later on down the road.

Can I get a TC Uniball UCA for now (still on stock LCA) but eventually I want to LT the front with possibly AllPro LCA's. Would those two pair together? Or would I have to get AllPro UCA as well?

    Uhh...no.
Long travel arms and OE replacement UCA's are not interchangeable. LT arms are longer.

So the LT UCA are even longer than the slightly longer Aftermarket UCA's

Yes. LT arms push the hubs our 3.5" per side.

It's been a while since I checked but is there a 2" LT kit sold by someone? I thought I saw one at one point but can't remember. I do know I want to be on the shorter end of the LT side.

    Not for first gens.

Keep in mind that the factory wms-wms of a first gen is only 60 inches. A second gen by comparison is 65 inches. By adding LT to a first gen (7" overall width increase) it's only 2" wider than a stock second gen.

Even if there was a 2" kit, you still couldn't reuse aftermarket OE replacement UCAs.

Solo motorsports! That's who I thought had the LT kit for first gen that came with fully fabricated lift spindles that give a 1 7/8" wider stance on each end. If the spindles give the roughly 2" wider stance, will the longer UCA's and LCAs add more than the 2" wider stance?

Those are lift spindles...which have nothing to do with LT (but can be added in addition to LT).

More importantly, lift spindles only work with prerunners. If you're a 4x4...you're shit out of luck.

That's me, pre runner and why I want to LT. I Probably should have made that clear in my first post. I want the spindles for the clearance and add the LT upper and lower arms for comfort. For my uses I might be better off mid travel with Uniball UCA's and extended travel coilovers. The clearance of the spindle alone is very tempting though.

I'd suggest you spend some time in the LT sticky threads. LT has nothing to do with "comfort"

Lt is stiff as hell. It's not comfortable unless your hauling ass over rough shit.

    In other words...

    Not asphalt.

Stick with stock width and extended travel coil overs for the best of both worlds.

Also. Uniball uppers aren't longer then stock. They are the exact same width. Just have a uniball instead of a ball joint allowing more adjustment for alignment and a bit more travel.

All about spring rate, valving, and tuning.
My truck isn't really stiff on the road. No more than when I had mid travel anyway.

    Ride in my truck.
Most uncomfortable part is the shitty stock seats.

It seems with the right shock/ coilover setup paired with extended lower and upper arms would be the proper way to lift. Allows for better rebound, flex (when needed) and all around better ride. Especially when compared to my current setup on stock arms.

Hey my truck feel pretty good on the dirt.

Yes my coils are stiff..probably too stiff..but not by much. And I know I have valving issues. But I still wouldn't tell anyone to get lt for comfort reasons..that's 5 grand put to the wrong use haha

I've been in a dialed truck with just mid travel and it's great everywhere. And I mean great. Can't wait to dial in the lt because of it. But it cost him half as much and for 5 grand you can do the back and the front.

You can do the same thing with mid travel. LT doesn't necessairly allow for "better rebound," you just have more shock to play with tuning. Flex with IFS is...well, it's still IFS. Yeah you have more travel and can help with articulation. But given you have a pre-runner...what's the point? You're not going to be rock crawling. And a "better ride" is completely subjective. If you tune your shocks for high speed, there's going to be some tradeoffs with around town ride (and vice-versa). My wife's 4 runner is like a plush couch in town, and it's stock length, but that's because it barely sees dirt.

Regardless...you're only talking about half of the truck. Most of your "comfort" (or lack there-of) is going to come from the rear of the truck, not the front.

It sounds like you're trying to justify the "need" for long travel, which you don't need to do. If it makes you happy, go for it. But based on what you've said so far, you'll have a lot more money in your wallet with a simple MT setup.
