    Agreed!

Larry did some great work on my 84' and 85' pickups great guy, sold the 84' though..damn. O' well still the 1985.:D

I go every year to the Pacific mountain cruisers swap meet and show and shine in Petaluma at the Holy Ghost hall on bodega ave and eucalyptus.
I'm not a member but got to look at the toyotas, eat some food and look at what's for sale, a great time.

Though are tacomas are way new and it's mostly old school but an all Toyota event.:)

Sorry about the rambling........blah blah... Larrys always there, guess that was my point to rambling..

Sounds fun. He is the first mechanic who gave me a tour of his shop and wanted to share what he seems to love to do. I was blown away by all the shop does from rebuilding engines to custom frame work,to refurbishing older Toyotas.
    Rambling is a good thing.

I ended up picking a set of low mile struts off a '14 OR. This way I can just swap out assemblies. After reading tons of threads here, some people hate the OR springs set at 1.75" and some people love them....I just hope it rides ok, if not I will pull them out and go a different route on springs. Kinda the reason I wanted to be able to keep my stock struts assembled.

Are the OR coils the same progressive rate coil as the SR5?

Any of y'all have a preferred local alignment place? I called my service manager friend in Petaluma and said I wanted specific alignment numbers (or as close to them as possible) and he said to come in on a Tuesday, but that will never work with my schedule.

I usually just do les schwab cuz its cheap. Right behind Napa auto parts is a dude that does it all by hand the old school way which I love - forget what his shop is called though.

Which Schwab? That'd be infinitely easier if they do alignments on Saturdays. Also, there's more than one Napa..

I go to Pep boys in Rohnert Park by Home Depot. My buddy is the service manager and another is a shop tech who does my alignments. He is pretty good since he has to mess with my heim steering when doing an alignment.

I have a good friend who worked there for a few years. I'd never go there unless I had a buddy on the wrench.

Lol, it's the only way. I've witnessed too many beat runs and burnouts with customer cars behind the building to ever think of them when I think legit shop. Buddy wrenching FTW.

I think they are the same progressive rate coil and it's the TRD Sport that has a linear, but I could be backwards. :notsure:

I think your right on the OR's being progressive and the sport being linear. I just don't know if the rate is the same as the SR5.
