If the squeaking really is bothering you, take the leaf pack apart and touch up the contact points with lithium grease and the bushings with mp grease. New leafs will be the same way, silent for awhile then the squeak will set in again.

    It be a truck.

Mine started squeaking all the time two days after installing them. Old Brett and I even greased those anti friction pads, etc.

    Annoying noise for sure.

    I'm the same way.

I need an extra body to help me hunt for a squeak coming from (what seems to be) the front suspension. And another metal on metal rubbing noise that sounds like it's coming from somewhere around the passenger seat area.

Stuff and things that make it better.
I honestly think I have the only set of Dakars that don't squeak. I even preemptively made those rubber disks to slide between the leaves for when the squeak started, but here I am a year later and nothing.

Do you have greaseable shackles? Also, I noticed you are also in UT, in what dusty location were you most recently wheeling? BTW, I wonder if the SLC inversion makes your dakars squeak the same way it makes your lungs squeak...

I sprayed mine when I had the pack disassembled and removed all the stupid slider pucks. The pucks were the cause of my noises. Same sand, dirt, and salt shitty environment you are in deteriorates and gums up the pucks, keeping inhibits the leafs from moving freely.
