Yea the turbo timer only works if the key is turned off. And it'll have a kill switch.

Have you been using co2 when you weld? Or just flux core? I've got a tank of co2 and just picked up a Lincoln 140. Just playing around trying to practice before I get started on my sas.

    Works for me, thanks

I've been using 75/25 Argon/CO2 mix. Straight CO2 will work, but has a smaller window of flexibility/error. Screw flux core, unless you have no other option. Your technique never gets better working with flux.

Yeah, which would make for a stronger weld? Co2 would allow better technique but I've been told that flux penetrates deeper.

It's part of heat management. If you need better penetration, there are plenty of options. Crank up the voltage, wire size, change technique, and use a torch to preheat (which helps a lot)

Hmm ok, my biggest worry is the bracket that attaches the links to the frame. That's where the most stress is from my under standing.

Your not going to weld those, I am so you'll be fine. I'm more worried about the steering box and track bar being a bitch to package.

Street driven rig that will be driven to the trails so not really. To do fill hydro that I'd trust on the street is not cheap.

NO!!!!! Lol, I mean double ended full hydro. Fuck single ram...

Do it right, do it once. Why cheap out on something that is super vital? Mine was about $1700 and I wouldn't EVER consider anything else.

Probably won't be doing hydro like said above, it'll be a daily driver for the time being. Don't want to trailer it at least not for a long long time. And a big part of this build is to make it a overal better driver both on and off road.

In 4-5 years once I get settled down and a good job, house, and tow rig I may do one tons, 40s, exo, V8, and make it a true crawler but for now it'll just be a week end warrior.

You can still DD a full hydro lol. It doesn't have to become a trail rig only. As I said a few weeks ago though, you'll be better with the hydro assist incase you do run into a problem on the road (hydraulically) you can still steer (mechanically)

Soooo... call me stupid, but I was looking at the new radiator today and realized there is no provisions for a cap. :anonymous: I understand it's 'universal' and designed to be customizable but what route should I go? Can I run a remote reservoir to act as both a fill location and overflow? Some kind of pressurized system?
