Thanks for the info. I love the Silver Sky Metallic color that came out in '14, but finding a used topper in my color is pretty much a pipe dream. Gonna jump on a good CL deal one of these days.

Suburban Toppers sells one for $900 +tax (short bed) but windows don't slide and pretty basic model. The company that makes them is called ACT

 

We are looking at about $350 after we take the windows out for prep. The guy that is doing it does outstanding work. He did the paintless dent repair on the wife's brand new Subaru wrx after one of these great Colorado hail storms and also fixed the rear bumper where our old neighbor backed in my wife's wrx. We didn't exactly shop around because we already know the quality of the work, but $350 is on the lower side that I have found looking at what other people have spent, so I can't complain.

The topper we bought happened to be one of the top of the line at about $2500 new so we are a good $1300 less than new and still about $500 under the cheapest topper we would have bought so it was a great move for us. The guy we are going with is outside of Colorado Springs, let me know if you want his info. My math might be a little flawed, but a $500 topper plus a $350 paint job still leaves about $1150 to put toward other mods if we are talking about a $2k topper....

 

I have a dark blue long bed leer 100 with sliding front, suv style pop outs on each side and a single center latch. Also has carpeted inside with led lights and third brake light. I am looking to trade for a black or tan softopper in the same bed length, a black fiberglass shell, plate bumper, or? Mainly interested in the sftopper for the dogs as I have a 4 cylinder and I am tired of hauling around a heavy cap for the amount of time i actually Use it. I am located in the springs and will post pictures tomorrow. There are a few scrapes where the paint is gone, but overall I would rate it at 80 percent

I got an ARE CX with sliding windows, sliding and drop down rear window, single handle on the door and led light for around $1000-$1100. I didn't get the mounts for a roof rack because it as an extra $375.

 

The shop is Falcon Collision Center, just north east of Colorado Springs. The guy we deal with is named Keith.

While my wife's car was there last year she saw some of the other more custom work the guy did and it was beautiful also. I'll post up some pics of the camper shell after we get it back.

 

I vote for before and After pics, much better like that for me.

 

we should try to get 10-15% and then share shipping to one place. Looks like three people definitely in. Someone set it up. I tried to get everyone in on exhaust reroute and no one followed up.....

 

That's exactly what I had planned. I must say though, it might look better in bright red....

Still looking for a rack system, either a roof rack or a topper rack. I'm not really looking for a basket or amour, just need to be able to carry a 28' extension ladder for work.

The rack for the topper can be a permanent mount and I'm not particular on any specific brand. Any leads would be greatly appreciated

Anyone looking for a rifle scope? I'm selling a Vortex PST 4-16x50 FFP mil/mil scope along with butler creek flip caps and TPS steel ultra low rings. I just got this back from vortex where they cleaned and checked everything. YES the scope is painted, however, the warranty on these is so good that you could run it over and get a new scope no questions asked. Rings,caps and scope are about 1000 new. I'll take $700
