Im telling you guys! Its all bout rotating the upper mount before you chop. I did that and il almost clearing 37's it gets the bold out of the way where you start rubbing first. Only way to avoid it is LT. I did my chop while I had 33's and at full lock I had almost 1.5" of clearance which gives almost 1/2" to spare with 35's

I cut my body mount right through the old bolt hole of the location where it was moumted before I turned it

Trucks getting dropped off at firestone in the morning to get the alignment re done. Hopefully for the last time. Should I go ahead and adjust the lr ucas forward to +3.0 instead of the neutral +2.0 to get it to clear

Caster as high as possible while maintaining 0 camber and 0 toe. Caster should be slightly higher on pass side for road crown

Right. They got 2.3 supposedly last night. But is that good enough or go ahead and advance it up higher and hope they can get the camber and toe at 0? Or should I give them a better number than 2.5 to achieve on caster and let them mess with it themselves. The guy last night said he was familiar with adjusting them but wanted to wait as a last resort because it requires undoing the ball joint from the spindle side.

If you can get more then do it. More caster gets the tire further forward.

What what? You shouldn't remove any suspension components including a ball joint. All adjustments are done from the lca cam tabs. 2.3 is almost factory specs. I have 1.3 and 1.7 and barely rub my cab mount after chopping it a lot. 2.3 shouldn't touch anything. Unless your truck is wandering bad I wouldn't take it back to adjust the caster from 2.3.

That's the thing I don't think it's really 2.3 I think he printed those numbers prematurely when the truck was still in the air and the shit was still loose. After I left i had to go right back because the dip shit didn't set the toe right and it was pulling real hard passenger. So they had another guy adjust the toe back to 0.0 because the first guy bounced as soon as my truck was off the machine.

Update on attempted safari snorkel group buy. I just heard back from Sarah at Boss4x4 who I contacted about the group buy, and she states " My suppliers are not willing to give any significant quantity discounts. However, we are pushing to be one of the first to get the Tacoma version by placing a large pre-order. They are still in production and no pricing has been set.

If anyone wants to order the existing version, we listed them here on our site:

    http://www.boss4x4.com/product-p/arb4-ss135hf.htm

Using the TW10 discount code they are $386.46, which is the best price we can get currently."

So for now its a no go, however that is the cheapest I have seen for the hilux model safari snorkel.

Anyone else who may know someone who could do a group buy or has worked with cruisers feel free to step on up. That is all for now.

Maybe they forgot to tighten the LCA cam bolts. Those are supposed to get torqued to like 130 ft-lbs. I only take it to one specific alignment shop by me due to douche bags not knowing what they are doing. At 2.3* caster you should be fine, probably just didn't cut enough.

The issue is 1 with 1.2 caster I didn't rub even at full lock and flexed. Now I can't make a 1/2 turn in reverse without rubbing. I cut the cab mount as far as I could. The horn is completely done and the front is gone to the extra section of frame right before the bolt.

Basically here is the story. I had the truck aligned last week. The best he could get was 1.2 caster on both sides. And no rub. So I ordered new ucas from light racing so we could try and get 2.5 I put them on and set them to neutral with is 2.0 factory. Now a different guy got 2.3 and I am rubbing again.

What UCAs did you get? I know the TC and others build in a few degrees of caster so it will move the tire back farther into the wheel well. I had mine turned as far as they would go and got around 2.8* of caster while keeping camber and toe 0*. That was enough to clear 36s on the body mount lock to lock full stuff.
