I'm wondering what my 2014 AC TRD Sport will bring for a trade with a maybe 4000 miles on it by the time the 2016 comes out? Right now I am right around 1800 miles.

A lot less than you want to imagine.

You'd be much better to sell it yourself.

At $30,000 private, I could go $2100 less to a dealer since I don't pay tax on a trade. I know I'll take a hit but I plan to have the truck 15 years or so and I like some of the features in the 2016. I should have held off buying the 2014. I still like driving my 2003 more then new one.

Are those worth taking a hit on your trade and whatever interest you've already paid? Do you really need to have the latest and greatest? And just because its latest doesnt mean its greatest.

No :) but at this point in my life I don't have to buy what I need, I can buy what I want. I was a little disappointed in the features, or lack of in the 2014. Beside a couple of grand spread out over the life of the truck might be worth it.

BTW, I'm not set on doing anything until I see what the new Tacoma actually is.

I just hope I can reuse the floor mats. (sarcasm inserted here)

They are because they try harder. But you soon regret when they show up at your front door with a suit case

Don't get me wrong, All manufacture have there issues. It's just the type of recalls and corks my 13 has are big issues. Most of the corks are design flops that can't be resolved.

yeah but your '13 is the 2nd year of a "facelift" of a 2nd gen design that was 8yrs old so......

Im sure there will be some growing pains but lets not act like anyone that buys a first run of a new gen is out of their minds...

for the most part Toyota has a pretty good track record of standing by their vehicles...at least in my experience...
Of course there are instances where this is not true but overall they do...

    And you've been here a whopping 3.5 years.....

You still got suckered into reading this thread and responding. No??

    Dude...you have a 2015. Enjoy it!! It's a great truck!!

But why you gotta dump on the rest of us who are 'looking forward' and 'excited' about buying a new tacoma? No offense to you or anyone else. Just saying.....

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    DCLB TRD OFFROAD S/C(challenger hellcat 6.0) 6spd(magnum t56) Baja PRO SR5

I am sure this is going to be a package...? :/

I do love my truck just as much as I loved my 00, 08 and 11 and besides the front end of the 2016 love it too. But the 3rd Gen section is getting out of hand and one could say some of the 2nd gen, thread after thread after thread of useless hey what configuration or will these floormats fit, or will there be a sport, all of which is either a)pointless to post and a waste of server space or b) the lack of people not taking the time to read and educate themselves. And when I was a newb the very first sticky the "read and search before you post" one I read and thus didnt post said threads. Then again I also have the right to ignore them, but come on people.
