Seems like a lot of money for a 9 year old truck.

Seems a little high, but depends on the options. 4X4? V6? I'd run a carfax background on it. And get it checked thoroughly by a mechanic. Check the frame for rust.

Well I just paid $19900 for my 2008 sport with 130,000 miles. Its a TRD SPORT V6 Auto and was really clean. I think the state matters a bit. I live in Colorado and Tacomas out here are pretty expensive.

    Sorry for leaving out details..

2006 4x4 V6 Access Cab TRD Sport SR5 - Pretty sure it's fully loaded with all options for that year

ONE Owner Carfax - Clean ALL PAPERWORK with truck

ALL TSB's done - was inspected for the Frame rust and got the Toyota Frame Spray coating... No rust anywhere. It's show room condition, no dents or scratched either. Older gentleman who swears he never drove it in the rain. Rims are scratch free and seats are perfect. Also has remote start but not sure if that is Factory. Anything I see with similar miles is a little newer in the 23 -24 range.

    couple pics

He just threw new tires on and got a new Toyota battery from the Dealer that he showed me the receipt for. All service has been done at the same dealer since new. Couldnt find any corrosion etc under the hood, even the engine bay stickers were in mint condition.

Looks clean I would try and get them down a couple of grand. But with the lows miles 20,000 sounds about right for a Tacoma

It's crazy there is a Toyota dealer that has the same truck except its 2010 with 85K on it and they are asking 27K. It has a couple dings and the interior is beat up pretty good. I've done lots of research of these trucks and know all about the TSBs , rust , etc... dealer want arm and leg for any condition tacoma around my way and private sellers are few and far between and of course they want full retail + too. If i could buy a Brand New one I would but just not in my budget at the moment, just want the best bang for my buck

I bought a 2005 (3 years ago) with 80,000 miles on it for $16500 - It also had leather seats. I think $20,000 is too much but its very clean. Nice truck.

That seems like a reasonable price for a truck here in the Northern VA area. It's common to see 4 year old certified Tacomas here with under 50k miles for just a few grand less than a brand new 2015. Usually $27k.

Yea, we get stupid snow and SALT is abundant! Will the Toyota Spray hold up a long time?? Should you get it re-done every so often?

Check that frame out with a microscope.... the dealer may have hid some holes with that crap... If it rots out on you... YOU are screwed man... no help or sympathy from Ma Toyota....

Other than the frame.... buy it... it looks almost as good as mine... hehe

    Thanks Scrambler!

I can't believe how helpful you guys are and really appreciate your opinions.

I've seen the paperwork and did the carfax and everything does check out. Got under the thing and it looks great. The under spray is a little sloppy but hey.. it's there. But the body and interior are flawless.

I'm pretty sure I have gotten him down another thousand after speaking with him tonight so that's a plus.

I will be paying cash, I've convinced myself I don't need a car payment. So I'm my own bank.
