These are the off brand of maxtrax or was that a typo? Curious how they are working for you.

Yes, the off brand. Pretty much half the price of the maxtrax. So far they seem very well made. Nice and thick material. DO not seem flimsy at all. But I still plan to do a bit more testing/evaluating before I order the second set. I expect they will do fine though.

Only real con is they do not stack as tightly as maxtrax do. But that's not much of a con to me. in the pic that is one pair and that is the stacked height of 2. But, they do come with 4 Velcro bands for keeping them together well. The reason they do not stack as well is the 4 linear ridges on the outer edges. They don't have a hollow area under those 4.. which keeps them from sitting as low on each other.

For the price and quality so far I'm pretty impressed.

Thanks for the feed back. I'm not to worried about if they stack great either, as long as they keep working. I'm mainly going to use them for mud and snow so don't need crazy strength for bridging. Look forward to some more feedback.

Finished the 5100 Install, just picked up from having front struts installed, set on 1.75 as that seemed to be the preferred setting from my reading. Only drove a mile home and I could already tell a difference in ride. (of course it could have all been in my head), guess I'll find out as time goes by.

Added some new 285 Goodyear Duratracs. Went from 265 to 285. Bumped the front end suspension 2" to minimize the rub. Did some trimming. Over all with the tire height it added about 1.5 more inches in height.

    Before. 265 Bridgestone Duellers AT

Yes, for recovering the mats after use. I've seen the matrax get shoved into deep sand or mud. They can actually get pushed down deep enough that they can be hard to find. The leash adds length .. With a hi vis handle so that they can be found easily. Even if they wedged in too hard to use the leash to pull them out, the least acts as a tag line so you at least know where they are when they're down in the muck.

If I get time I will try to document my tests and see if I can make a post about them. With the matrax being as popular as they are, these are a nice option for those who would rather not spend as much.

Changed my rear diff, front diff and transfer case oil @ 41000 miles.
    Used Royal Purple. :woot:

Oonly issue I ran across was my oil drain pan was split, so it leaked all over the concrete, which meant i had some cleaning to do afterwards. Damnitall. :frusty:
