So after a lifetime I finally got to rig up and test my Veritas Cyclone lid with my 6.5HP Ridgid vacuum , tested it running a DeWalt 744X 10" tablesaw ripping cedar for about 2 1/2 hours straight

    First run no bueno

Can caved in under static pressure

I realized the problem was that the black and orange hoses were different ID , the smaller orange hose being on the inlet was causing a airflow restriction , swapped them around , all good

32 gal Brute can 1/2 full

Only a trace in the vacuum and on the filter

I have a dewalt 8.5" slider that was a really good deal. If I had a do over I would have gotten a 10" easier to find blades and the 8.5" wont cut through a 4x4 in one pass.

Did you need to glue the inner short coupler piece to the gray conduit, or was fiction fit sufficient?

    No glue

Before you start picking up bits and pieces , I may go back to shop vac couplers . The DB2 couplers work but the fit is really tight , and you need to support the lid fitting while attaching the hose , I'm going to see about switching that up
