low MPG's....Suggestions?

    in the sizes typically ran on tacos you can only get the km2 in a load range E

    a 265/75R16 is 53 lbs..... thats 16 lbs extra of rotating mass over the stock rugged fails..

    THATS HUGE. i could easily see getting those kind of mpg numbers on winter gas with those tires

    Well I wouldn't say it would cause a HUGE drop.. I went from 245/65/16 range C highway tires (got about 20-21mpg) to 265/75/16 load E range tires and still get 19mpg highway, and thats with all the hills here, on a flat I can easily average just over 20mpg even with all the extra weight i've added.

    Change tires to 265/65/17's (stock size) with a highway tire.

    Heavy AT tires kill mileage on these trucks, especially a MT.

    I am averaging 13-14mpg on my Tacoma, yours sounds normal.

    Unfortunately that's what you get with the Taco.

    I guess im lucky to get 19mpg with this size tire? :notsure:
