Thinking I need to replace the lower control boot... been searching but haven't found any DIYs on this... do I need a brand new lower arm or can I replace the boot only?

Purchased Off Road Lights for 25 bucks. I know I know you get what you pay for but they had good reviews on a jeep forum. So if I break em they are cheap. I also picked up a 51 piece ratchet set, screw driver set and 18 inch breaker bar just for my taco. My 3 tier tool box can't go with me everywhere so these tools will just live in my truck for roadside repairs on the trail.

 Also if you haven't received a recall notice 2005-2011 tacoma pre-runner and 4x4 have a safety recall for the rear leaf spring. So before i change anything I will see if Toyota is gonna upgrade me for free :p

I will find out next week, hopefully just the bumper is tweaked and they will just replace that or give me money i can put towards a plate bumper. I couldn't wait for a 16' even if i wanted to i would have to replace asap since my Tacoma is my daily and the vehicle i haul my kid around in. I swear Hampton roads is home to some of the worst drivers ever..

Appears to be. Consider replacing it with a Moog bj. I can not tell if that is a Moog but, I d know that Summit sell Moog.
Also, not necessary but consider replacing bj's in pairs. As long as you are doing one, do the other much like tie rod ends and shocks imo.
And who the hell doesn't like a pair of bj's? :)

Finally got a set of tires. It was actually Tuesday, then I was on my deathbed with the flu for a few days. Hercules Terra-Trac AT2 in 265/70-17.

Then I did the maiden-snow-voyage-with-said-tires mod last night. I've run the same tires on my 4runners for years and I've always been very pleased with their performance.

Toytec-Eibach coils, Bilstien 5100s @ .85, .25 "lean" spacer on driver's side, Toytec 1.5 rear AAL, Nitto G2 Terra Grappler 265/70R17, Iron Cross HDSteps
Just thought I'd introduce myself to the forum. Here is my taco. She is a 2013 DoubleCab who has undergone a recent transformation. Came with stock 18s and lousy rubber. Christmas was good to me, and I worked hard to save the money for wheels, lift and install.

Put the Toytec-Eibach coils on Billy 5100s set at 0.85, then added their rear AAL. Then mounted Nitto TerraGrappler G2 265/70R17 on Fuel Trophys (-6 offset). I'm not a heavy off-roader, but use the truck for duck hunting in the timber/muddy lands near Humnoke, AR so need to be able to keep from getting stuck, run gravel roads at speed and get over the occasional log - which this setup seems to to well. Not a great pic, but she's clean for a change.

I've done a lot to my Tacoma lately. Here is where I started. Found these nerf bars on Craigslist for $100.
