took my swaybar off few minutes ago after contemplating it for awhile now.
went out for a drive to see how she rode. i'm not sure how i feel about it yet. doesn't feel dangerous but i do notice slight body roll..not much since i'm on 885x coils. it's not as jarring as before when driving rough roads. thats the main reason i wanted to try it.
i'll give it a few more days if i don't like it i could always slap it back on.

I love my tipi. The stove last night was awesome! Getting into a warm sleeping bag is amazing. Then waking up and starting the fire without leaving the bag...man o man.

yeah i mean it doesn't feel that bad, you can feel it dip slightly. the 885x's help out. it does ride a little better over rougher roads. i might just leave it off who knows.

do you have a softer spring rate on you lt setup? are lt setups softer/stiffer than mt? if i remember right the 885x are like 590#

They are awesome but all tent gave their their downsides. I really want a 6 or 8 man for truck camping now. The 4man is a great size for me and my dog but is kinda awkward. Big enough to stand up in but not move. I would like to be able everything I bring expect the tool box too. I could fit most every thing in the 4man but it would be too cramped.

Pricey! The 4 man I have is $600 for the tent itself with no stove or skeeter liner. Setting them up is pretty simple but fairly time consuming. You stake out 4 sides, insert the center pole and then stake out the rest.

$600? For a tipi? I understand you gotta pay for quality and stuff but dannnngg ! I'd rather just build a trailer and put a RTT on it for that price lol

You could go that way but we both know a trailer and RTT is going to be wayyyyy more. I went with the tipi because I also do backpacking and fishing trips that require packing in a few miles at minimum. I'll be setting camp 15 miles from my truck come spring and enjoying 20 miles of river to fish :D. The size is nice as well. I can pack this into my glove box if I wanted.

You can try making one yourself and save quite a bit haha. I might try to make a bigger one if I find a sewing machine for cheap.

Rather well! It has to be pitched near perfect and super tight. The wind will just blow right by it. That night we probably had gusts upwards of 40 ish mph and it was just the sound of the wind. The rtt makes a stupid amount of noise in the wind. They also have a sod skirt built in and that keep wind completely out of the tent.

Yeah, I pitched it in 50+ mph gusts...pain in the ass. It was a poor pitch but withstood the beating.
