haha ya no kiddin, they are pretty pricy. I really wish I was good with metal fab man.

 

trust me those arms would take more than just metal fab skills, You would have to spend just as much time & money making jigs & fixtures as the arms themselves & that is IF you had the machinery. Metal arts is my specialty but I would not want to take those on.

 

Well, It looks like I will have a set of 5100's to install at this meet.

What do tou guys think about try to use a jig saw to cut the bed mat? If we can drill a hole to get the blade thru, then a medium blade might just work. I am going to bring my Jig saw & see what happens.

That, or we could attach an old butter knife to my soldering iron and cut through it like, well, butter?

Mark's mat is alot thicker than the toyota one it's easily close if not an inch thick. I totally missed this thread, but here's an idea someons hould take pics of all these mods so we can post them in the do it yourself section. I'm gonna bring my jackstands in case we need them and some bricks to add to raise them up. Does anyone have a torque wrench? My list of mods are:

Light racing UCA's
Front 5100's Installed

I will need the tsb leaf pack done to my truck but since it is not under warranty anymore does anyone know how much they are and how hard they are to install myself.

Oh interview at Toyota went well should here back in 2-6 weeks they are processing thousands of apps at the moment and the first production line of Tacomas built in San Antonio will start on the october 15, 2009. Which was faster than I thought it would be.

 

I've got torque wrenches up to 150 ft/lbs. Also have 4 jack stands, but the more the merrier.

 

I have heard of people getting the TSB done with out being under warranty. I had mine done out of warranty, but that may have been a buddy deal, I'm not sure.

 

I'm sure it was, *cough, cough*hint* lol. Before I didn't think I needed it but now that I've been feeling the rear shake more on bumps I realized i only had two leafs on each side. I'll probably be interested in doing the front brakes and oil change too and the wiper blade mod, mine are leaving streaks now.
