What kind of options do I have for a shower? I'd like to not be rolling in my own filth by Sunday.

Adam, no need to bring the extra tent. I purchased one off Amazon.

Gid, no need to bring a folding chair either. Discovered several of them during the move into the new house.

On that Midland hand held CB that takes 9 AA batteries: how long of a lifespan does that give you. I saw the cobra ultra 19 III, like it, but I still have no idea how to mount one out of the way but not sure if I like the idea of 9 AA batteries to power something (depending on the lifetime of the batteries). I'm telling myself it'd only be used for trail riding. So, could I make it a 4day weekend wheeling trip without going through 20 AA batteries???

I believe it comes with an alternative power source such as a cigarette lighter adapter

Aa battery is 1.5 volts each and 9 of them will yells 13.5 volts about the same as a car battery. I would say there is a car charger with the kit and you could use the cigarette lighter adaptor. The use of the batteries may not even be needed if your going to use it in your truck. I would say the need for the batteries is for out of truck use.

Like I've mentioned before, I'm not super into wheelin at LBL but I do like to get out there and explore and just play around. Me and my girlfriend have been out there the last 2 weekends, and I thought I'd share some LBL picks to stoke y'all for the meet.

Last sunday we discovered an old farm that neither of us have been to before.
It has a fully intact farm house that we walked through:

We walked through it but it was pretty creepy. There's lots of old barns, water pumps, and other structures on the property:

Same day we also went to find the old observation deck. I remember going up this when I was a kid. They closed it years ago and removed the first section so it cannot be climbed, but it's still standing.

Yesterday we stumbled upon and old Catholic church that had been restored by hundreds of volunteer hours. This is out in teh middle of nowhere, and I think it's really cool they put so much work into something most people have no idea it's back there.

Also found a couple of pretty sweet backcountry camping spots I'll try to hit this summer.

Some of them are down roads like this:
    20150214_162855_zpsmlq8znkm_6ecdf2b62a3f2615702b12cceaed65406c6bce8a.jpg

LBL is cool of fun finds if you're willing to get out and look for them. They do a terrible job of letting people know about the hidden gems that are left there. It makes it fun going to look for stuff, but sometimes I'd like to know what I'm looking for, then go find it, not just roaming around and stumbling upon it by chance.
