Timely thread. My 2009 is being replaced with a 2015 King Ranch. Ordered in January, should be here in late March or early April.

Tacoma was a great truck, but I need/want the bigger truck and the F150 gets better MPG than the Tacoma.

Just walked by a brand new F-150 FX4 "platinum" in my neighborhood. Wow that thing is ugly as shit. I am betting the interior is really, really nice though.

To answer the question though, no, too big of a truck for what I need.

Fords don't seem too bad. I wouldn't trade my Tacoma for one though. I like the more compact function of a Tacoma for offroading and camping. Re-sale and trade in value I would imagine is a little better on a Toyota with 100k than a newer Ford with 100k, but I'm no salesman. No doubt, interior is roomy on the F150, but my lifestyle is content with a Tacoma.

If tacoma had more balls this probably wouldn't be an issue,,, for most anyways.

Nope, would never trade for an F150. Too big, too hard to park, won't fit in a garage, way more truck than I need right now. Do like the Raptor though.

If I needed a full size, would probably go Tundra.

Nope...I bought my Tacoma because I wanted a mid sized truck. If I wanted something bigger I would have bought a Dodge Ram.

I saw the 2015 at the Texas State Fair last year and made my mind up real quick I didn't want one, also checked out all the rest of the trucks there and had actually decided on another Dodge but the local sales guy screwed that for me. A short time later I traded in my 2000 Dodge Ram Quad Cab on my 2013 Tacoma Sport 4x4 DCLB. Reasons being that if I couldn't get comfortable 6 passenger seating with all the bells and whistles then I needed to rethink what I wanted, which I did. Smaller truck, 5 passengers, and a hell of a lot better fuel mileage than the 13-14 in the '00 Dodge and still better than the 16 average I was seeing (fuelly.com) for 2014 Ford's that were supposed to be getting closer to 18.The Tacoma wasn't the perfect answer, but nothing about it bugs me enough to want to trade it on a 2015 Ford.

In a heartbeat if my wife would agree to it. We need to get our youngest out of daycare and then so long Taco and hello F150! This is my first ever non-Ford truck, and while it's been reliable, the original weak springs, weak TSB springs, and frame rust situation (mine only needed undercoating), I'm ready to get back to a Ford truck. I like the Tundra's, and it would suit my family and towing needs, but I think it's quite a bit behind the F150 in technology.

I've also been disappointed with the towing performance. For a truck rated at 6500 lbs, I'm not impressed when I tow 3500 - 4000 lbs.

I drive toyota for quality and reliability, do not believe ford or any one else is meeting or exceeding those standards. I will stick with toyota.

Only Ford truck I want is the Raptor. They are about twice what I paid for my 2015 Tacoma though. Way too much money for me right now.

"Actually Ford is synonymous with Big Fucking Piece of Shit B.F.P.S.

Take the F, put it at the beginning. Take the B, turn it into an O. Take the P, turn it into a R. Take the S and turn it into a D.

Is that a coincidence? I think not."

No. The Tacoma is the right tool for the job.

    No.Just Fn No.

I'd rather push a Tacoma before I would drive another ford.

Yes, if I could score one at the 12k-15k off msrp price. The xlt with sport package is a looker. My dclb Tacoma is so close to being full size anyhow, might as well get the benefits.

In a roundabout way, I ended up trading my 2010 F150 for my 2014 Tacoma. Not sure I'd ever buy a Ford again.
