But is rub at full lock driving around a parking lot. How does it do on serious wheeling? That's why I care about. If it rubs at full lock and you can't even flex without tearing something off, that's a problem. What's the backspacing on your wheels? What and where are you rubbing?

Taylor, I lurked on CL for a while before I landed 5 255 BFG KM's from a Rubicon getting new shoes. When it happened there were 3-4 sets that came up at nearly the same time. (His buddies?)

Anyway. 5 midlife tires for $400. It's worth the search.

    Rubicon 255's are 32's not 33's.

Exactly. If I get a 255 in a 32, I might as well go wider.

As usual, I'm having second thoughts. I don't NEED tires right now so I may just keep the money and see if I can pick up a Miata this summer. We'll see.

If I have them cut all the way and I hit a big bump. They are 4 inch back spacing with -12mm offset. They rub right behind where my sway bar is. The side tread on my trail graps is what rubs it.

Just a feeler, but is anyone looking for a roll-up tonneau for a 2nd Gen short bed? I'm thinking about ditching mine and going with a softopper. It's an Access Lorado Low-Profile.. Retails at about $550, I bought it for about $460+shipping, and would be willing to let it go for around $325 OBO to help fund the softopper. Don't have any at the moment but I can get pictures later if anyone is interested.. I'm located in Arlington but I'd be willing to drive a little to meet up somewhere.

RegularCarReviews is a great channel. He does funny reviews of all kinds of cars. I found his channel from a Tacoma review way back before he got big. He even reviewed my friend's M3.

Unrelated: Civics are good cars. No shame.

Wheeled with Shenandoah Valley 4 Wheelers and Capital Offroad Enthusiasts on Saturday. We went up Union to Flagpole and got stuck halfway through when we came to an icy hill. I looked up and saw a 3rd Gen 4Runner sliding backwards down the hill at around ~15 MPH. Yelled "EVERYONE BACKUP" over the CB. We all got out of the way, but then we were stopped on an icy hill. My buddy in a XJ on 35s and front and rear lockers got stuck and almost slid off the cliff. Took over an hour to get him wenched up. The wench came loose and he slid back down the hill and almost went off again, which was scary. The rest of us backed down the icy ass mountain, turned around, and went back. We came back in through Reddish knob and met the rest of the group at Flagpole. Then we went back to the top of Reddish. It was a great day and my Taco surpassed everything I thought it could do. It was unstoppable. I had such a blast and met a ton of cool dudes.

I'm thinking that we all need to get a group together once some of the ice goes away and wheel up to Flagpole. A group of 5-8 people would be great.

Here's the video of my buddy sliding back down the hill. The cliff on the right is a good 100 feet down after the first couple of trees

Came to the conclusion trail graps suck in deep snow. My duratracs I had would have walked around this things.
