Well, I was actually just putting together and update, but I apparently deleted it but it went something like this.

Finally got to tear into the truck to fix the oil pan leak after the HG replacement, which is holding great BTW, no codes and holding coolant like a boss. But, to get to the damn oil pan, you need to remove the whole front end of the truck:

    -Wheels
    -CVs and front diff
    -Rack and tie rods

So, I finally got everything off and the damn pan out, but along the way I found a bunch of other shit that really needs to get done and was on my list to do before wheeling season, and since everything was already off, I decided to have at it and spend a few weeks with the truck on stands.

The list goes like this now:

    - Reseal oil pan
    - New band on a CV that I pulled off while removing them
    - Drain and fill F diff
    - Replace diff and ADD breather lines
    - New spherical bearings on the lower shock mounts
    - New uniballs on the UCA and a new bushing as well
    - Re-weld cracked spindle gussets
    - Flush power steering
    - Drain and fill tranny
    - And finally, I just ordered new cam tabs and bushings for the LCAs

So, to answer the question, later :p

I hope to have all the other shit done in a week or two.

THEN, rear links and mounts get redid.

THEN, gas tank lift and skid.

    . . .

    THEN . . . swingout.

sounded like it from that thread ive been reading up on. I might order them just to keep on hand for if i do want to tackle the job sometime this summer, Ive got to mount a gopro up under my fender to figure out exactly where my noises are coming from. I looked last night and it doesnt seem that i have a gap between the metal sleeve and bushing so that tells me that my bushings and LCA arent moving about when hitting bumps or turning, compressing and articulating the suspension. HMMMM, who knows whats going on ha ha ha

Glad you got your engine all buttoned up. Sounds like that was quite the process.

Were can we fit helping me fabricate a new crossmember and belly skid in here? :p

    Nice fish!

Also, have a lot more extra time this semester. Let me know if you ever want a hand. I will be doing my LCA bushings too here soon, wouldn't mind seeing it happen.

It was, glad it is almost done with.

So, you said you wanted to learn to weld . . .

Thanks, Granby delivered. It was bad ass.

I have them off right now, in the process of sawing out the old bushing sleeve, PITA. Cutting the bolts/sleeves was pretty easy, especially with literally the entire front end removed.

Welcome to come over whenever, going up to Steamboat actually this weekend, but will be here til Friday morn.

Been a busy month or so with the truck on blocks.

    - Resealed oil pan
    - New band on a CV that I pulled off while removing them
    - Drain and fill F diff
    - Replace diff and ADD breather lines
    - New spherical bearings on the lower shock mounts
    - New uniballs on the UCA and a new bushing as well
    - Re-weld cracked spindle gussets
    - Relocated CB to the side of the center console
    - Flush power steering
    - Plated the passenger side F. diff bracket, which is known to fail on 04 and 05's
    - Cut out LCAs and attempted to replace the bushings, failed and ordered Dirt Kings :) should be here today
    - Reinforced LCA cam tabs, fully replaced one.

Here is what getting the bushings out of the LCAs looks like, I was kinda bummed that I gave up, I put a shit ton of work into it, but the final straw was the Whiteline bushing shell crushing on installation, it appears that the tolerances are off, found a few other cases of this.

Damn straight! Working from home is nice when you don't have a DD, and can leave the truck in pieces for weeks on end.

I think it will live this weekend, brown santa just dropped these off, the last piece of the puzzle and should be good to go after that, until I start on my next project

Here are a few other things in the works as well.

New panhard with 2" OD bushing on one end, 7/8" heim on the other.

    5676A114-A513-47FA-AE18-B11DC4E3DE48_zps_7d96f05dd05d28830c34dc3237dabe2ef7cd6356.jpg

New lower links. Going to offset them like the Metal Tech ones to avoid binding on the axle. Super beef heims, which are the main reason I am redoing them, the 7/8 didn't even last through the summer.

7/8 on the bottom, 1.25 on the top, mating them with 2" OD .25 wall DOM, up from 1.75" .25 wall DOM on the old set.

And final update, the CB relocate, used some AL stock on the back side, super solid. I also left the mic relocate in so the cord does not drape over the shifter.

Got the Dirt Kings arms in this weekend and did some cycling of the suspension without the Kings in, pretty impressed. Numbers below were without any binding on the cvs, droop was limited by the UCA cup hitting the adapter, the coilover was maxed out at exactly the same spot as well, so no further droop would be possible. Without the coilover and no bumps, up travel will be limited by the binding of the CVs (or the tire eating the fender), numbers below are going to bind, then coming back down an inch or so.

    - 11.75" at the hub: without bumpstops in

    - 10.375 at the hub: stock bumps and not using the supplied DK bumpstop spacer

Uptravel will likely be limited by the coilover, I didnt want to mess with pulling the springs to find out though. I will probably leave the spacer off the bump until I can stuff it and see what is happening with the coil and the shock shaft.
