Thanks for all the tips guys! For the rest of the winter I will just wash my truck regularly, more so the frame and underside. And come spring time I will do some rust repair!

So I read this yesterday and decided to try to wash my car today. It was also in the negative temperatures. Everything was frozen and tapped off. Looks like I'll have to wait a little longer.

I walked outside today to see how my truck looked after washing it, its somewhat clean, but the rear of the frame is salty because the frame didnt get to dry all the way before I started driving. Guess I will wait for warmer temps as well

Go through an touchless, automatic wash, with underbody spray jets if possible $5-$10 usually

Or do a $2 self spray car wash (I do this 1-2/week with all of cars). 4 min spray time, you can do everything top to bottom, in and out, with that time. I just use the high pressure wax setting.

I spray mine down whenever the roads clear up a bit and it's cold. (No melting snow/water to spray up)
My truck nauty blue in summer and super white in the winter!

Haha same black sand pearl in the summer, and some sort of strange salty white/greyish cinder color in the winter

Salty Va.here. My rustbullet frame is looking great. I wash my under carriage when temps get above freezing by noon. Make sure u don't use your emergency brake because it will tend to freeze in locked position. Just a thought.... Plus 40 yrs driving in Va. [IMG]

Wow. Sure seems like a lot of trouble to take the bed off every time to clean the frame. :p
    Looks nice though!

Wow thats awesome. I'm glad I sprayed a couple cans on fluid film on right before it dropped to freezing. I sprayed down the frame today and all the water just beaded off. It was nice.

I always hose off the radiator from the grille as the fan sucks in road salt, can't be good for the radiator.
