I've got a Jawbone and according to it, before I started doing more office work, I was walking about 7 mile a day. Now I sit at a computer more often...so I'm down to 2-3 usually.

    Looks nice.

I have the Zip. Basic (calories, steps, miles)..but my job was giving them free. They have challenges now and then to do 200k steps in 30 days which I can shatter and then some..which saves me money every year on my health insurance.

Woohoo I have the S5 and it tracks my steps while I'm at work automatically and I average 8-10 miles a day, and it has a macro meal counter that is pretty cool

I'm looking into getting a low impact machine to use at home. I am looking at the BowFlex Max, TC, or NordicTrack Incline Trainer. What are your thoughts?

Currently weigh in at 260, which is down a bit, but would like to get down to 210. I am looking at low impact because I recently had one back surgery due to service related injury and will be needing another. I've tried running/walking, but the amount of painkillers needed to be able to go more than a quarter mile ended up knocking me on my ***.
I know that a healthy diet is 75% of weight loss, and have been working on that also. I will be working with a nutritionist along with my physical therapist. Hopefully, that will make things easier.
I've checked out different machines at different stores, but they only let you use them for so long, and those three seem to have the best "feel" for me. I don't really need the fancy stuff like web access on the machine or to run the Alps, just something that works well and is durable.
I know I probably won't ever be able to run mid 13s in the 2 mile again, but I'd eventually like to be able to do a 2 mile run again without having to stop.

Looks like a good workout to me if you've got 5 days you can commit to the gym. Granted, you're not going to look like Thor unless you also get on Chris Hemsworth's diet and pharma plan, as well lol.

I think you'd be better off just buying a barbell, some weights, a bench, and some dumbbells. There are a lot of guys in here with home gyms that can probably steer you in the right direction. All the machines they sell at sports stores aren't as effective as good ol regular weights; plus, they're usually more expensive.

If I were to do a garage gym, the first things I'd go after would be a squat rack, adjustable bench, dumbbells, pull-up bar, and about 500 lbs of weights.

Sack, we all know you don't need 500 lbs of weights

I kinda fucked up this weekend. I ate a 12 oz. steak and a loaded baked potato Friday night, 3 seafood burritos Saturday night and drank about half a bottle of wine last night. We also made chicken and dumplings yesterday, which I had 2 bowls of :anonymous:. Definitely not a good weekend. We're going snow skiing this coming Fri-Sun in Tennessee, but I'm bringing a cooler full of food so I won't be tempted to eat like shit the whole time.

    Current body fat %? I'd say 13-15%

I weighed in at 197 this morning, which is up 3 pounds from Saturday morning, but right around where I should be @ losing 1 lb per week. I started 5 weeks ago at 204, so I'm down 7 lbs, which is close enough. Before my cut, my arms were 16" flexed cold and now they're right around 15.75" flexed cold and 16" flexed pumped, but for my own sanity, I'm going to say that was all fat-loss lol. My pants size is about 33", down from about 35", which is good. I haven't had any loss in strength, though.

Took my pre-workout today and it had me going!

    flat bench: 135x20, 185x10, 225x8, 185x9
    wide-grip pull-ups: 2 sets of 10, 9 w/ 1 sec pause @ top and bottom
    incline dumbbell bench press: 3 sets of 15, 14, 12 w/ 55, 60, 65 lb dumbbells
    v-grip rows: 3 sets of 14, 13, 13 @ 185 lbs w/ 1 sec pause
    incline reverse dumbbell flys: 3 sets of 10, 9, 8 w/ 25 lb dumbbells
    dumbbell shrugs: 2 sets of 15, 10 w/ 95, 100 lb dumbbells
incline bench hammer curls: 3 sets of 18, 16, 15 w/ 25 lb dumbbells (1 sec pause at top and bottom)
    dumbbell kickbacks: 3 sets of 18, 15, 12 w/ 25 lb dumbbells superset w/ rope pulldowns 3 sets of 10, 9, 8 @ 200 lbs

I'll take a photo and add to the gayness this thread brings sometimes :luvya:

Dang. I use the digital hand things to get a ballpark estimate once a month, or so. I know they're not the most reliable method, but I'm not overly concerned about it, either. When I do a reading, I do it three separate times to get an average and the most mine has ever been is 15.5%. I've read they can be up to 3% off, so I could really be as high as 18%, although I doubt I'm that high. I'm just gonna keep cutting until I can see veins in my abs lol

I spent $200 for a starter bench, dumbells, barbell, and 140 pounds of weights. That's all new, no Craigslist finds.

I do treadmill and love it..maybe an elliptical or bike would work for you.

Only way I can check bf is on the stupid scale. It also says I'm at 25%.... Anyway I took a photo.. I look bloated in it since I just slammed a protein shake. I swear I don't look that fat on a normal basis... Or maybe it was the 2x Chipotle this weekend... Or the pizza.... Or the fried chicken... Or the cheese cake, maybe it was the double bacon burger... Well anyway it wasn't the chocolate I got on V day. Anyway...

I would say you and sack are pretty close in body fat, you can't judge body fat on just arms tho, if you looked at just my arms I would be like 10-12% body fat but if you look at just my core I look more like 18-20% lol I assume I'm somewhere in between this 2 numbers
