We need a bigger house just for all of the accessories for the Wii.

hey bob I was considering the same thing a few years ago. The thing with the Wii is it is very fun for parties/social gatherings and other events with a handful of people. As for a single person system it is nothing compared to PS3 or Xbox.

That is coming from a person who has 45 days logged on one game on his xbox :anonymous:

I have both the Wii and PS3. everyone here hit it right on the head with the Wii. You will buy it with a fun game(s) and play the hell out of it for maybe a week, then it will sit for months untouched. But recently we took it out to play and have been playing it almost every night for a week, Wii would be a must but if it was maybe $69.99 or $99.99, the graphics are from the Nintendo 64, not now you can be alot more active. Now to the PS3 and Xbox360.... I hate the console wars.. there is nothing more ridiculous than two grown people arguing about a gaming system... but this is how I see it...

They both have good online gaming, Xbox's is maybe a little better (not insanly better) but you have to pay for it, where as the PS3's online gaming is completely free. PS3 uses blu-rays and can play blu ray movies pretty well, while Xbox cannot play blu-rays. Then with the games, the Xbox exclusive games are pretty damn good, and PS3 has always struggled with exclusives... so Xbox wins with games I think. I play COD5 allllllllll the time and its on both consoles, but I do get to play online for free.

Both good consoles, hope I helped a little

I'm not reading 3 pages to see what the consensus is but here is my evaluation. We play the Wii when friends come over or take it a party and such. I do have some games that I play solo but only because it's the only system I have. I would rather play Call of Duty 4 on XBox or PS3. I was a huge fan of Madden on PS2 but it SUCKS on the Wii. Too much moving around and it's not real accurate.

We did just get TIGER WOODS 2010 for the Wii and it is AWESOME!!! Online play is very cool. The graphics are clean and the features are endless (disc golf, online tourney's, mini games, etc). Weather at the course is even linked to the online forecast channel to give you their current weather on the course you are playing.

Get a wii if you play with friends. If you are a gamer and enjoy playing solo, get a PS3 (for the blue ray).

    I love my Wii! :D

I'll be honest, it doesn't get used NEARLY as much as my PS3, but my girlfriend loves to play it. Plus, it's fun to buy the old Nintendo games for like $5 or $10 on the online store (like Super Mario 64, Star Fox, etc.) and play those. I played Zelda: The Ocarina of Time for about 4 others last Saturday.

It felt like I was a kid again. :p

Also, as others said, it's fun to play in large groups. There are a ton of cool games that large groups can play.

It may not get used much, but it still gets used.

they are working on a new console called the douchebox. It's targeted towards close minded anti-fun adult humans. You might enjoy that one a bit more than the Wii.

My wife bought a used Wii from a friend the other day. Its fun, but I am sure I will get tired of it after a while. I am looking into getting some better games. I hear Tiger Woods 2010 golf is great with some new motion sensor attachment.

I use my PC for any serious gaming.
