    Great post. And great thread at HID Planet. Quite enlightening. Read every post. :eek:

    So the aftermarket headlight you used combines the side markers in a single piece with the headlights? I looked the the ebay link. Some pics in that ad had a chrome surround and some had a black surround. Was a bit confusing.

    I see your confusion, I looked closer at their photos and it looks like they photo shopped the headlights and corners on that truck.

    No, it was two pieces. Corner lights and headlights. When I ordered mine it came with a black trim around the corner light however I color matched my grill and corners so it was not a big deal for me. However I know you want a chrome grill. The only reason I got corners with the headlights was because it was black. Im sure if you got a regular corner light with chrome on the inside it would still look great and probably reflect light better such as the turn signals. Or you could just keep your current corners haha. Either way would work and look great.

    Oh, OK. there were no pics with them separate. And yeah, I think I will stay with the chrome. The good news is there are many, many choices.

    The HID Planet thread was pretty good at identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the D2S.

    It is very unlikely I would build my own but if I did, it would be like you, MD2S 3.0s. If I can get ambiguous to build me a set, it will be FXRs. I am thinking a blacked out reflector in either case.

    I am still uncertain about the shroud. I was originally thinking chrome, with no halo. No halo because it is a point of failure. Unfortunately, I saw yours and they do look awesome. So now I am considering a blacked out shroud with a white halo behind it. I would wire the halo to a separate switch tho.

    Yup! It's no problem. Found it on toyotapartszone for about 40 and went ahead and ordered it. Another question for one of you guys who ordered from TRS. Which wiring harness did you get? I'm guessing it's the motocontrol bi-xenon or something like that? I can't remember the other ones but I thought there was 1 or 2 other H4 harnesses
