Different ECUs Part #'s, which is which.

So thanks to devil1 and a box of pizza, yesterday we diagnosed all the 4wd components from the switch to the individual actuators, all the mechanical was working and confirmed that the dealerships theory of the 4wd ECU was fired.

I have been researching the price and have stubbed upon three different part numbers

ive tried different websites and even tried some dealerships and one was lost of what i was asking and the other is saying there is no computer for 4wd.... but found a communicator ??

so i come to tw for some info, i need to order the part today for the upcoming trip.. here are the following:

which one is the one i need

Not sure if I can help but will try .Are you using your VIN # when searching for the correct part ?
I believe the 3 different numbers you have posted are for ECU,s that have been superseded and 1 number is for the manual transmission .

i still find it real hard to believe the 4wd ecu went bad.

 

Trust me I'm kicking myself in why the heck did that fail. We pulled all the things that w found on here that went wrong and that is the only think left... Crossing fingers that this will fix the problem. I'll throw up the picture of the actuator and you can see that it's looks brand new. We even connected a 12v to it and the motor was fine.

 

Front actuator I didn't see anything wrong with it.

I couldn't believe is was the ecu either. I was determined that it wasn't bad, but everything was working. We manually put it in 4wd by applying power to the from add and the transfer case actuator and it did go into 4 and all wheels spun. There was also power going to everything, just no signal to the actuators to operate and the ecu controls that

 

yup! at least we got my bumper on straight... hopefully i get the call today to see if it came in today.

 

So just go the call that the part is in. And what came in was totally different from the part numbers I have?!?

I told them I'm taking the truck to see if that will work and if it doesn't I'm not talking it.

 

Well at least we know how to manually engage 4wd lol. If this doesn't work and they don't get the right one in time then it would be rigging the switch I suggested.

PSU Taco85. When we put the truck on stands and turned the switch there was no communications to the actuators. after putting power onto the front actuator from a outside source it engaged and all wheels were spinning??
