what would be the benefit of a 3 tube bypass in the rear opposed to a 2 tube. obviously the extra tube means more tunability but will i ever notice that? i guess im just asking is it worth the extra $250 for a third tube?

 

depending on the tube placement, good chance it wouldn't make a difference. Majority of the time, the 3rd tube(short one closest to the top) is almost closed anyways to give you a stiff bottoming out area

 

Whats everyone's opinion on going with a Stronger Carrier Bearing VS a 1 piece drive line? I saw most of you went with a more durable carrier bearing but I don't want it to be so beefy instead of that blowing out it blows out my drive line but then again with a 1 piece its not necessarily a fix all. Im torn and considering it blew out this weekend i need to come up with a solution pretty quick

What kind of travel are you getting from the rear? If stock..then just stick with a direct replacement carrier bearing. If not..then you should upgrade..and it doesn't have to be the super beefy carrier bearing everybody else is getting..but I was advised by my driveline guy to not do a 1 piece on my extended cab..I didn't ask him why.....but I trust him..

Your truck is 7 years old..the carrier bearing was going to go out sooner or later.

 

1st gen question. After you guy installed your front glass. What did you guys do about the air box tube that's in the wheel well. Has there been any issues with water splashing up in there? Do I have to put back the plastic wheel well covering in there?

 

Mine is still there and has been fine for over 2 years, I taped up the open end with 3 layers of pantyhose.
