What exactly do you want from the sr package? They might be able to get you a different one in that color and get the features you want. Is it the rims you like? Or just the price of the package.

    Pretty much the entire package
"16-in. black alloy wheels with P245/75R16 7JJ tires; color-keyed front and rear bumpers, grille surround,
overfenders, door handles and power outside mirrors with turn signal indicators; headlights with smoked trim; and fog lights"

I also want the convenience package for the sliding glass window, remote keyless entry, and cruise control.

In the 3 months I've been looking, I've only seen (1) blue at nearby dealers. It had various options I did not want. It seems that most of the Tacomas here have the SR5 package, tow package, and Entune Plus (which I don't care for).

You might be in a tough situation then. I must admit that the sr package is awesome I almost got one but went a different route.

Good luck with the search. Keep in mind the 3rd gen 2016 tacos are supposed to start production in may, so if you want a 2015 SR you might be stuck with whatever is currently being offered at dealers right now. SR's seem to be hard to find as is, you may have to settle with SR5 or TRD sport if you want color matching. SR wheels can be found on Ebay if you really want them..

Why can't a dealer just order one for him? I'm currently looking all over So.Cal for a Silver or black DCLB TRDS 2WD and can't find one anywhere! I'm wondering if I can just tell my local dealership to order it? If I find a dealer who will order it, how long does it usually take?

They can order it if theres one in the country. There were only 3 in the country of the one I wanted. Now finding a dealer that will go through the hassle of getting that set up and waiting is another story. Took me 3 dealerships to find one that will. They might also tac on additional shipping fees. And like someone previously stated 2016s are around the corner so current production of 15s in your configuration might be stopped.

Also depends they said they could get mine in 3 days some people wait months.

Thanks & good to know. Not having ever ordered one before, I presumed that it was just a matter of getting one manufactured with my preferences.

Wife finally gave the blessing recently on a new DC, so I'm trying to move fast before she changes her mind!

Thanks again for all the info. I may have to settle on some options that I don't really want/need. QUESTION: I usually use Edmunds to get a "True Market Value". Their site isn't setup to choose options/packages for the Tacoma. If I cant get a TMV, what is a reasonable % below MSRP I could offer the dealer?

I ordered a Magnetic Grey SR 2.7 4x4 5 speed AC model. Sticker was $27,475 and they knocked it down to $26,400. Blue was my first choice, but I was told they weren't available in that color.

I had the same problem with Nautical Blue '13 SR5, so I found a car broker who "ordered" one for me. Car broker charged 300 bucks and found exactly what I wanted.

Being the last model year this truck will be offered and a new truck coming for 2016, it's going to be slim pickings on what's available for a 2015 model.

When I bought my '14 SR (2.7L, 5Sp, AC) in August... I could only find Red & Silver. Blue was not available.

I like the SR package because it has all the good features without the extras. I didn't need a rear view back-up camera & Entune Plus radio that all the SR5s came with. I have swapped out the Windshield wiper stalk from the 2 speed to the multi speed.

What did the wiper switch run you and was it a direct plug and play swap? Or were there other modifications needed to the wiring?

That is something I might do to mine. Also if you have a part number that would be great.

It was a Christmas gift... but you have a couple different ones that work on the Tacoma... The 2012+ Style is part number: 84652-02710

More part numbers that work: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/341353-2014s-intermittent-wiper-switch.html
