You should bring about $5000 to give to me. That will take care of nothing for you but A LOT for me. Just messing! If you have friends coming with you have each one bone down with $25-50 for food, snacks, and drinks. Get some fire wood too! It can get pretty cold there especially if the winds are blowing.

Gas shouldn't be a problem. I usually bring two 5 gal jugs and i usually have left over. If you do run out there is a gas station like Steve (socalman22) said at the Blu Inn, kinda pricey though.

I would suggest having another friend drive. That way when you leave to go riding or whatever you can store all your belongings in their ride, and not have to worry about it being stolen while your out.

Sounds good, and firewood is definitely on my list.

I was just thinking about bringing a second vehicle too, Im in orange county though and Im not sure if I wanna spend the extra money on gas though. Ill have to weigh it out and see.

Split the cost of your food, snacks, drinks, firewood, gas and whatever you think you will need between you and your friends.

I haven't had any issues with people stealing stuff from camp. Usually I go with a big group majority of the time but sometimes it's a small group of friends and haven't ever had a problem. I think most theifs are deterred by the fact that most of the time they don't know when the owners are going to come back whether it be a run down the wash and back to camp or to the restrooms. Also I can't say for sure it doesn't happen because I rarely go out on holidays but I think in this event with half the people out in the desert being part of the group the camp sites will be secure.

If anybody else is planning on, or wanting to head out there on Friday, our group will be there fairly early so if you like you can camp with us. Only request is that you bring beer and boobs. We're not too picky but more hooters the better.

The sliders and 5100's are not necessary but would be nice. So that is not an excuse. :p
