My driver side door started rattling when the stereo is on. Its the little panel that holds the window switches and door lock button. I have never replaced speakers or anything. Still shitty stock system, and it rattles even at low volume. Anyone else have this problem or have a fix for this?
thanks in advance for your help!

Take the door pannel off, and see if any of the wiring is causing is (maybe tape it down)...also do a search on this forum for Ramaat or dynamatt. I'm thinking about doing this to my doors.

    hope that helps!

thanks for a response...its definatley not loose wiring thats causing the rattle, but the panel itself it rattling.
is there a way to tighten it?

you could use some of that anti rattle tape, and put it on the clips that hold the door.

at auto parts stores there is 'anti rattle" tape, it's like cloth. used for dashes, doors, etc...
    take your panel off
take a piece and wrap it on the clips that snap into the door skin... done.
    (it makes a tighter fit)

but, you can also check into dynamat or that raamat stuff. I did my doors and rear cab wall and it quiets the road noise down, also any rattles you may find along the way.

then again, your speaker may just be blown out, the stock ones are cheap.

My passenger door speaker or aroung that area rattles. Getting on my nerves. Just haven't had the time to get in there and fix it yet. Would it be worth taking to the stealership because it's under warranty?

Just pull the door panel off and see?

Pull the black sail off, take out the white clips and put them back in the sail.

Then the door panel has two screws, one behind the handle and one behind the door handle. then you push in the black snapper thats holding the plastic at the front of the door and pull the panel right off. Takes about 20 seconds.

I tried to stick a cross over in the door panel a while back and broke the rear clip on the window panel, I have two 40w MB components in the front and the panel didn't rattle. If I remember correctly the window control unit is screwed on to the panel, maybe your screws are loose. There is also a yellow clip on the front of the panel, check if you have yours. Also you can unplug and take out the control unit w/ the panel and turn on your stereo, just to make sure it is the panel that is rattling.

I have the same issue bro. I can actually see where the vibration noise is coming from. It's right where the window/door switches connect to the door. Here is my feeble attempt to point it out:

Like senior taco said, if you rest your leg against it it'll stop the noise. It gets annoying after a while though.

All you need to do is take out the two mounting bolts and pull off the panel. There are 10 mm bolts that vibrate loose. Just tighten them up and you will be good to go!! You will find the culprit as soon as you take the panel off, just double check them all. I just did this to my 05 Tacoma yesterday.

yep thats it! there arent any screws holding this panel on, is there?
Do I just pry it up, and look for the screws inside?

Thanks for tip man! I have same issue and have complained to dealer . When I first bought my truck in 2013 I took back like 6 months and they removed driver door panel and claim to add insulation- noiese went away for a day and have been getting worse. Added my leveling kit back in Nov of 2015, brought up when I had service done last month. They gave me BS answer that is related to my leveling kit installed! I had the service guy look up all my history- and noticed I brought this up way before I even added leveling kit! and yes- stk speaker suck- they replaced mine under warranty and thats when all the rattle started. Now my right side door does same think when i go over bumps. Gonna get some rattle tape today!

Are you sure its not the window/door lock black trim piece? I had the same issue with my 13. I pulled up the trim piece put some tape around it and the rattle disappeared.
