Question for those who have installed Husky mud flaps

Will the 3 original OEM screws work to install the Husky mud flaps? Or do the Husky flaps have their own screws/hardware that come with them? Also, do the Husky flaps need the OEM pushpins (mine all broke when popping them out while taking the original flaps off)?

 

I believe the Huskys come with their own hardware.

 

I wonder if thee original screws will work if you don't have the ones the Huskys cam with?

 

I can confirm that they do include hardware, including clip nuts.

I can't say how it all works out in the end - I bought a pair for my brother-in-law for Christmas, so did not install them.

 

I believe the three screw holes are in the same locations.

 

I was able to install mine with all original hardware. Each Husky flap uses two screws and one clip, so you should be OK even after breaking a couple of clips.

 

So two screws and one pushpin? It looks like the Husky flaps have more than three holes though....are the other holes just not used?

 

My fronts have 3 bolts & 3 push pins. Don't have the rears, can't speak to that.

 

My front flaps required two screws and one pushpin, as the photo shows. This was May 2012. I don't know if Husky changed the design afterwards.

Another thing, the Husky flaps are too short to effectively shield the rocker panels from road spray. I had to add an extension. (OEM flaps, despite all the complaints, are appropriately sized for their intended function. I needed the Huskies for 32" tire clearance.)

 

Got mine in 2014, so they must've added the other 2 push pin holes.

 

on my husky rear flaps i used the 3 original screws... they do come with 2 clips but I didnt use them
