Ran great when I bought it with 3,700 miles on it. Supercharger started sounding different around 10k miles. Poblems at 11+k miles until I could not drive it anymore due to dieing and shaking bad etc.

sorry great gramps! no you shouldnt need to drop the coilover. do one at a time with the trucm lifted and suspension drooped and you should be good. If anything, unbolt the 2 19mm lower ball joint bolts. will let alot of tensions off the lca. but like i said, youll be lucky if you dont have any seized cams.

huh.... thats a good one, im curious to see what they find.

Mountain States always took good care of me before I found TW. I hope they figure it out for us. Good luck.

best advice.... dont have that^ "better have it figured out" attitude. one, they are doing it under warranty most likely.... the techs and dealership as a whole don't get paid shit for warranty jobs. Two, they are obviously making progress, let them continue and try not to rush them. Three, I'll be brutally honest. There ist alot of help for us techs on this trd stuff. We obviously know what it does but we don't have the nitty gritty info like what fuel trims"should" be or what the reflash actually changes in the ecu. On that FJ i talked about a few years ago, i was learning alot while diagnosing it with the Toyota reps. Toyota doesn't make these chargers, a separate company makes the and sells them to Toyota. so limited resources for diagnosis info.

that being said as well, any info is good info. we love info, fuel type changes, did it ever run better after doing something? you drive it every day, when did it happen, did u go offroading? you know all the crap like that can give us clues you may not think are important.

sorry for the rant:) im tired now

What changed at 10k. You got a costco membership and use their gas now? Drove through huge storm and filter got wet? Tried a new pulley? Let anyone drive it? Valet?

I understand completely where you are coming from... I have been very happy with their service so far and customer service. I however am not happy with HQ and my "case manager". By saying "better have it figured out" I mean simply because I am having to fork out $450 for the rental alone out of my pocket, let alone $400 in towing expenses. I can't afford to keep busting that much out. So I am frustrated with that issue and struggling to understand why HQ is not fulfilling warranty expenses all around especially when they are the ones who told me my dealership said all was fine but I was welcome to go somewhere else. She never told me who or where to take it to for that second opinion. I chose Denver figuring they had probably seen more superchargers in their career than any dealer close to me.

As far as keeping you updated on findings and learning experience I will surely do that, I am all about spreading the knowledge to help others avoid my situation.

I ran 91 non-ethanol octane, very rarely ethanol based unless I had to. Main reasoning behind that is our local cenex only has that non-ethanol and I get my cabelas points there ha. Off-road was minimal as far as harshness goes. Only times it really did anything worth while was getting me in and out of bad spots for hunting. I towed my Polaris ranger around town for plowing snow a couple of times, never above 40mph. Never had problems during those times though. Can't really pinpoint a specific time it caught my attention other than driving to work one morning around 20 degrees out and starting from a stop sign it started acting weird. Shifting weird, supercharger was making the weird noises, rattling more than ever has normally. Progressively got worse after that.

No one has ever drove it but myself... no engine mods what so ever. Everything is "stock" or as is since I bought it. Only thing I have changed is the exhaust which is the MK3 URD exhaust. I did that around 6k miles with no complications. No heavy rain or puddles since I have owned it.

When using the Light Racing upper arms on the 2nd gen........... I dial in the maximum caster with the lower adjustment. This moves the lower ball joint to the maximum forward as possible. I then dial the caster in where needed (usually have to remove some caster) with the upper control arm (this also moves the upper ball joint forward). Once caster is set I move to camber, all adjustments on the Light Racing arm typically.

That is the best I can explain it using the magic box. I need to use hand gestures and tire insults to explain it better.

Are 2nd gen LT racing uca's different than the 1st gen set?
Mine do not have Caster adjustment, at least not any fine adjustment, the ball joint has to be rotated and it makes drastic changes, not incremental changes. Is this how you guys are adjusting the caster from the top? I consider this to be a fixed setting as it cannot be incrementally adjusted.

Edit: Now that I have actually seen what passes for instructions, I understand better the caster adjustability from the top. see below posts.

Found this too. Man this stuff would have been helpful during my adjustment process. So I educated myself. I will disagree with the 120 ftpd torque, mine were coming loose until I torqued to 150 ftpd.

Thanks all for the UCA input and now I need to go buy some Anti Seize.

On Mod's for wheeling here in Colorado are there any other important ones other than Rear Diff breather "re-location"?

What state is your truck currently in?
    1. Remove mudflaps (or have them removed forcibly by the trail)
    2. Relocate trailer wiring plug
    3. Armor - need increases with difficulty of trail. I'd start with sliders for sure.
    4. Highly recommend CB for trail communications. (Trying to start a CO HAM revolution :D)

I'm sure the list could be added to
