Drove it to work in the ice, and put some fresh Mobil 1 in the engine this evening.

What I did wasn't really to the taco tonight, but will be hopefully by next weekend.

I pressed some slightly used ball joints out of some stock arms tonight after work and took some measurements for anyone that might be interested. The stock ball joints measured in at 1.7215 inches with some dial calipers, and I measured some raybestos ball joints that came in at 1.7345 inches. The holes in the arms measured in at 1.718 inches. So I pressed the stockers into the arms. When/if these wear out I might have a machine shop bore out the holes a bit to accept aftermarket.

The whole process was easier than I expected. Used a press we have at work for bending weld coupons. I just had to get creative and make my own implements. Luckily we have a ton of different sized pipe kicking around and that made it pretty easy. Some people probably would have been a little nervous seeing how it was done. Now I just need to get some more grease to pack in them and they will be ready to put on when I start the lift install some time in the next week or two.

Wanted to go out and get some good shots of the new wheels, got chased around town by a rain shower instead. So much for the wash job I did on Sunday. Did get this shot after it stopped raining and before the truck dried off enough to show all the kicked up road grime.
