I looked at one back in the 80's and it was a piece of crap. I have buddies with the new ones and they are pretty nice. I kinda feel the same way about my tacoma, it has been resting on its past.

I bought the headlights he had on his truck for a month, and he built me the taillights for the truck

Are those the LS460 headlights he made?? If so, I'm very jealous, those things were awesome!

Denis, sorry to hear about your surgery, good luck!

Billy, I almost bought one when I was looking for a new vehicle. I was between that and the Exploder since I thought I would need/want more seating with a growing family. The Jeep is probably what I would have bought if I didn't need the bed. The new Jeeps aren't like the old ones, they're more comfortable and not as loud. They are still relatively unrefined but that was part of the charm for me. I'm a doors off, roof off kind of guy. If it's what you want, go for it!

Yeah, who knows. I am just kicking stuff around. As a home owner I feel like I should have a truck, but I am kinda sick of trucks right now.

My wife's cousins husband had a jeep 4 door. It has just over 70k on it and needs a new transmission. Never been offroad or abused. Not sure what year, it's got that pentastar minivan engine. He just traded it in on a 2014 leftover wrangler since it was out of warranty.

Do know if it was an auto or manual? I wonder if one is better than the other. The tow package forces you into a manual which is sort of the way things used to be. I wonder if the manual is more reliable.

The drivetrains in the Jeeps absolutly suck (Dodge too). I sell more transmissions, transfer cases, axels and esp driveshafts for those pieces of shit than you would ever imagine. Can't keep the parts on the shelf. You can all keep telling yourself there better, I'll just sell you the parts later! :D

I sell way more Mopar for mechanical stuff than anybody else. Body parts is totally different. They are all about equal. Bad drivers drive all kinds of cars :p

Apparently another 3-6" of snow for mass this weekend. Have to make sure to get more gas for the snow blower.

On another note finally broke down and took my truck to get the passenger itre replaced. Have had the part sitting on my work bench for 1.5 months, was waiting for it to warm up a little....

Truck drives much nicer now. No more wandering, much tighter steering. Kind of pissed it had to be done through, I just replaced both itre's last December with a set from low range off-road.
