    Anybody know anything about this.

    Dear Roseville Toyota customer,
Toyota is requesting all owners of late model Camrys, Avalons, Prius, Tacomas and Tundras to remove any and all floor mats from the driver side floor area of your vehicle. This is a safety precaution to be followed by further notice from Toyota Motor Sales.
    The affected models include:

    2007 - 2010 Camrys
    2005 - 2010 Avalons
    2004 - 2009 Prius
    2005 -2010 Tacomas
    2007 -2010 Tundras
If you have any questions about this notice or your vehicle, please call Roseville Toyota's Service Department at (800) 473-3133. Thank you for being a valued Roseville Toyota customer.
    Dominic Campanelli,
    Service Manager

Just talked to Toyota. The resaon for this is because some dumbass could not properly re-install the factory floor mat. Was told the mat moved/slipped on the person when driving and there was an accident. This is what I was told anyways.
On my front floor mats, there are two tabs and two holes on each. Stick the tabs in the holes and it is secured, at least on my 2008 TRD Tacoma.

I figured that. Speaking for my truck only, I am guessing that all 08 4wd TRD Tacomas are made with tabs for the mats. If that's the case I find it silly to include that model truck if that model is not the one with issues and if it is it is because they could not figure out the tab/hole installation.

    Cheers!
