Not sure. He says it feels like it's slipping. Even had the fluid changed, which didn't help.

Once it's already slipping, changing the fluid can be a death sentence.

I have seen guys throw a little brake fluid in to swell the seals to buy some time to unload it

    That's because it is, lol.

There was a guy in the 'Severe Weather Thread' that had some pictures up of something like 5 or 6 inches of snow who was talking about having to use 4-hi and how he was losing control over 25mph even with 200lbs of sand in the bed. He has Duratracs, lol. Thought he was being panicky and ridiculous until I noticed he was from West Virginia.

Sawdust was a common one also to create more 'grit' in the torque convertor. It'd last just long enough to sell it.

Yep. Too many people got sued for that, though, and they switched to brake fluid because it's harder to prove.

Surprisingly most places down there don't get a lot of snow. While very rugged/mountainous they aren't that tall in relation to what's in the north east

When I lived in Richmond, VA, the issue they had was the ice. They'd get a little snow, then it'd warm up to like 50 during the day, everything would melt, temps drop at night, freeze, then Armageddon in the morning. They didn't have salt or sand to put down so the roads were a skating rink.

Yeah. My Aunt grew up in Maine and lived in Virginia for a while. She said that she got up one morning and there was an inch or two of snow on the ground. Didn't think anything of it and went to the grocery store only to find out that the entire downtown area had essentially shut down. No open stores, no open gas stations, etc. Crazy.

    Also, link to WV guy.

Noel, she's right, it's nuts how quickly a city that sized can shut down and over something as minor as 2" of snow! One morning, we got a hard freeze down there, and within a 10 mile stretch of road, the VA State Police responded to over 40 single car accidents in a single morning. It was a little greasy, but not to warrant those numbers!
