Looks clean, but I don't understand the draw to that look. If you want something low slung, buy a sporty car that will actually handle worth a damn. I hate seeing slammed trucks, completely useless in my opinion.

    Lol.
Toyota makes Traction Control and Stability Control for Southerners.
    And my girlfriend.

Haha, then Ford must base theirs on Rednecks and snow drifters because with a press of a button I can do whatever I want!

Ford just couldn't figure out how to make a decent one, so they made it easy to turn it off when it doesn't work correctly. :D

As far as I'm concerned, proper driving is the best and most intelligent form of traction control one will ever need. You can keep the nanny systems.

In all seriousness though, the Ferd system is pretty decent. It cuts out power a little too soon on the take off, but other than that it does a good job keeping the truck going straight (aka, keeps me from having any fun with it). I never got to experience the Toyota system, my 2007 didn't have it.

    Personally, I agree.
But, nothing I've been able to do has improved my GF's ability to drive in the snow. Which is why I make her take my Toyota when the roads are crap, and I drive the Yeti. She already put one vehicle in the ditch a couple of years ago. Fortunately it was low-speed and she walked away without a scratch. But if she does it again I'd rather she be in something with a 5-star rating. And the Duratracs, 4x4, and nanny systems on the Tacoma improve her odds of keeping out of the ditch anyway.

The people who lived in the mountains did, like areas that actually received decent snowfall annually. No one in Richmond did, hell most didn't even have a snow shovel!

Still do when buying cheap cars especially. That's why back then I'd rather take my chances at an auction..

Whatever you can get up there. Dump one and give it some time. Then breakup and remove what you can, then dump the other

Yeah but which one is safer for the roof shingles?

I'm not even sure how much I can do up there..behind the dam I have about 3-4 feet of ice on the roof. Access from the ground is going to be a whore with all the snowbanks.
