At my local Stealership putting the dealer to the test. Marked all the rims, and the oil filter. Anyway there was a guy here who needed a new single TPMS sensor, a new tire, and new wipers. Her are the prices quoted. 1 new sensor 275.00 stated it's so expensive because it has to be programmed with a computer. 1 new tire for 205.00 checked Discount Tire 95.00. 2 new wipers 50.00 quoted they are all weather so they are the best. Customer states " Do you think I'm stupid or something? " " I can get all that stuff online for the price you want to charge me for 1 tire. " WTF REALLY

If the dealership knows that you are a police officer
I am not inclined to believe that they would scam you.

You never know, some people can give two shits who you are. Just feel bad for some people that fall for that stuff. Charging the guy next to me 125.00 to hook it up to diagnostics to find out what the check engine light is on for. Told him go to Autozone I think they check it for free.

    Kinda sorta...

Yes they will read generic codes, but at least with the Dealer, they can do the proprietary things too.

Screw that...lol I bought the Toyota tech cable and software...lol I'll do it myself...

Dealerships are going to have a markup on parts + service fee + whatever else. These prices do look a little out of line. Especially the wiper blades. Are you kidding me? Are they gold plated? $50.00... GTFO!

The normal or average pair she called them were 20.00 installed. But she said these were the best of the best all weather wipers for 50.00 installed. Needless to say he got none of the products offered.
