what are your hud to bottom fender measurements front and back? looks good!

 

It is well within ICON's recommend no more than 2" of thread showing and the boot is not showing any evidence of rubbing so I am pretty sure it's good.

Do you have the 285's on it yet? Those tires look small, and you have a lot of space. Any trimming involved?

LOL, NOOOOOOOOOO they are the stock 265/65r17, and no trimming was involved. I have 285/65r18 ordered and fuel hostage 18X9 -12 offset/4.5 Back space ordered. I am hoping they will be here next week.

Update to my previous vibe comments. I put a few miles on her and worked the shocks a little bit. The start shudder has gradually diminished. It seems like the shocks and springs needed to loosen up. I still have a vibe at 20 and 40mph but I think I may have to drop my carrier bearing a bit to align the front and rear driveshaft sections better.

Hub measurements are currently 23" fwd 24" aft

 

Took out the overload today, current hub measurements 23" fwd 23.5 aft. I like the way it sits now. Hard to tell the difference front to back. I adjusted the front drivers and got rid of the drivers side lean. It's 23" right and left now. Most of my vibes are gone except for 40 to 45 mph harmonic is still there. Accelerate from a stop and decelerate to a stop (0-15mph) shudder is now gone. I am not sure what to do to get rid of the 40-45 vibe, I am thinking maybe the beefed taco carrier bearing bracket. Does anyone have any experience with that CB drop?

 

Try the OME Carrier bearing drop kit. Cheaper and has always worked for me.

 

I installed the OME carrier bearing drop kit with the lift. I only have 20 miles on it since I removed the overloads. I am going to give it a couple of days and work the suspension a bit. I am hoping it helps. I drove it around this evening and it seemed to be getting better. maybe it will be like my take off shudder and I just need to loosen it all up. Crossing my fingers, It probably doesn't help that I am overly sensitive about it right now either...LOL

Yup, that is the beefed taco one I was referring to. I just have not seen much info about whether it actually works or not.

 

If after the CB drop you still have shudder or vibe you may need a 3 deg shim under your leads to help correct the angle of your axle.

 

Thank you, I will check into that. I have been reading the many threads on driveline vibes in TW and there are many different approaches. I am just not sure which to try first. Do you have both installed on your truck? if so what were your symptoms before installing both. Did you install the shim to level your pinion to your transfer case (tall end towards the rear to 0 out your pinion/transfer case joints) or straighten your driveline angle (tall end towards the front)?

 

When I lifted my 2010 put on the 3 degree shims and carrier bearing drop kit, and never had any vibes. Tough to say if this helped as I didn't drive without it on.

 

Does your vibe go away in 4wheel????

 

Not sure, I will have to try that.
