Full ome lift, nitro charger sports all 4 corners (rear shocks relocated), Dakar pack w/ AAL, 882 coils, diff drop, toytec 1" shackles, trail gear low profile front bumper, Tuff Stuff winch, bamf sliders, RAT skids, BAMF Bed Rack, Tepui Kukenam RTT, RAT rear bumper,

If you don't care about the skid plate... May or may not hold up. And if it breaks could damage something else.

    Edit

Basically probably not a good plan. Can you not remove it?

    Yes and no.

There's a helpful circle where the stock skid contacts the crossmember. That be the place for a jack as you are actually lifting via the crossmember. Otherwise, no.

Thank you ask for the responses!

That was where i was talking about.

I'm hopefully going to do the rack soon and will obviously be taking it off. I just started thinking about it, when i painted my wheels i lifted the front at that circle on the skid plate and put it on jack stands on the frame. I just didn't know if that was an ok spot to lift from lol

Need to start putting together my own tool set and learning more about this truck

The raised circle on the back portion of the skid should line up with the crossmember.

That be where to jack if you are leaving the skid on.

Otherwise, you tear through it like TP for my bunghole.

That's where i lifted from, just looked like it was almost under the rack and i was curious

You're in the right neighborhood then as the rack bolts to the crossmember.

To be sure, check the jack cup to make sure it is not contacting anything other than the crossmember. when I had the stock "splash shield", I used it as a jack point many a time with no issue.

and one more time, for levity, like TP for my bunghole.

I hear ya, I have the digital copy, it's a bit of a pain to navigate. I never cared to see if it was safe to lift from the skid I just always took it off, I learned something today!

I got it from the web archive FSM a while back. The downloadable version has all the folders organized a little funky.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
The old green car? That's a 1954 Hudson Hornet sedan, belonged to my great grandfather. Me and Dad were going to get it running, but it got put on hold because of finances and then he got sick so the car just got pushed to the side. It's a really neat old car, and I've been trying to talk my aunt and uncle into completing it. I already have 6 vehicles, I don't need anymore lol. But, it is a cool car. The things we got done to it are pretty big, we got a narrowed Ford 9" rear end in it, new brakes all around, transmission and big GM 501 V8 from a 1977 Cadillac Eldorado.

After waiting nearly 2 weeks for all the parts to show up, This happened.

LCE Tundra full brake kit upgrade. LCE brake kit link

Only used the truck for an hour but the bed in period seems really quick, once it eats away the protective coating and gets a good bite i'm sure this will be a great improvement.

Old stuff: Stoptech Cryo treated rotors (20k miles) and EBC green stuff 7000k pads (4k miles)

    New stuff:
LCE Branded rotors and calipers with EBC green stuff 7000k pads and all new hardlines and steel braided soft lines front and rear.

That first image looking at it on the phone looked like the rotor had broken in a couple of places, until I looked at it on the laptop.

Are the rotor veins directional? Just curious as to why you chose to have the slots running forwards instead of backwards? Always looked weird to me when they run forwards.

That was the call of Jason (Speedfreak)

The kit even calls for them to go the other way unlike how we mounted it.

He said it shouldn't make any difference either way but always runs his like mine are shown.

Assuming the cooling vanes in the rotor are strait (radial), then yes, it does not matter which direction you run them. But if the kit calls for them to run the other direction, I'd suggest you look at the vanes and make sure. If they are directional vanes, you have to run them a specific direction.

Obligatory picture for those that don't understand what I'm saying:

the inside center spines looked straight up and down like the old ones were not internally tilted if thats what you mean by directional.

he ran the old rotors the same way id they were the same looking internals.

When I get home I will poke around and also call LCE to verify.
