Morning all. The sun is out. It got cold enough to freeze the bird bath and frost the hillsides last night, but it looks like another nice day today.

Just to cheer you snow lovers up, I got a lesson in septic systems on Monday and Tuesday. It was a crappy way to spend nice days.

Welcome to the rareified air of being older and wiser than everyone else on this confounded forum. Our porch never gets cold, and never gets rain either, so pull up a seat. Cooler's over there, please refill it if it's low.
I see what you did there. :p

And farting cats are enough for me, thanks.

    Ken,,, Dave

I'm not going up on the roof.
I bought 2 roof rakes. Put 5 extensions on it and stand back 50 yards. It's a bitch to stand up but once on the roof I can get pretty far up. The snowshoes will help change the angle so should be a little easier. :)

Hmmm ... you guys are still getting our snow. Crazy weather pattern. We're 20s at night and 30s during the day ... almost all the snow down low has melted. Noticed today even the snow caps on the mountains appear to be thinning. :notsure:

BTW ... Iditarod sled dog race has officially been rerouted to start in Fairbanks and avoid thin ice areas. They'll still bring in dump trucks of snow and lay it down for the ceremonial start in Anchorage. Wonder how much that costs?

Mike, be careful with all that snow.

Paul, Hope you get to feeling better; all the best with the new wheels.

Nice to see you post Zapper.

    Hope all are well. :)

 Happy SHIT(so happy it's Thursday) Day :D all. Welcome QueTaco (John) Like folks said, pull up a chair and chat a bit. Most subjects are open for discussion:rolleyes::confused:. Except for ones the Mods don't like then you can get banned like one of our fellow 60er's Jim (river-rat 69).

We don't have much snow, but the cold is getting to be a real "pita".
Jim said to say HI all. doing good but his MIL is not doing well so him and his missus are taking care of her. His MIL will be 100 in August and she wants to see it happen. God Bless her. Take care all and be careful out there.

pallbearer? pool bronzer? pole burnisher? :p How are you feeling - starting to get better I hope.

All of the local roads were covered w/snow and ice this morning. I didn't see pavement for the first 15 miles of my commute.

Mike, glad to hear you are doing from "the ground" a.k.a. the huge pile of snow in your yard. I second Sue's desire for pics - sounds like quite a rig!
