Hood Hinge Bracket options

I know this is a very old post but did you find anything on these? Do they work well? I worry about messing up the pods when you open the hood.

 

I just installed the CBI brackets. They are perfectly designed and for Rigid Dually's there is no interference when the hood is opened.

 

Same with Famous Fab

 

Awesome! I wanted to be sure before pulling the trigger on them.

 

I'm having trouble finding anything on them. May be my connection but their website appears to be down.

The main difference is that the CBI brackets mount to the lower hood bolts and don't move when you open the hood. The Famous Fab brackets mount to the upper bolts and move with the hood.

 

Correct, I personally like that they come up with my hood. Can open my hood and put in the arm to hold it up with no issues.

 

Don't you have to trim the black plastic lower windshield surround for the CBI brackets?

 

Yes, you do. You have to trim a little bit off of both ends.
