Yes, the center vanes. See my edit above with picture.
I raced track for many years before I got tired of staying in between the lines and bought the truck. Very familiar with brake upgrades and directional rotors.

I didnt drive the truck to work today so its only got like maybe an hour of driving on the kit.

on a side note the last discount tire I had rotate and rebalance my wheels and tires destroyed a lug nut and almost couldn't get it off the truck, in the process it chewed up a spline tool.

Got of the phone LCE, they said they can be run either way but list it as directional to make it easier for people.

They told me people run it both ways with zero issues.

Is there any difference between this kit and buying Tundra brake parts?

The kit is designed to be a direct bolt on out of the box, if you piece it together it may be around the same cost or less but you may need to modify brake lines unless you buy the kit that is somewhat universal from wheelers, it will not mount the same however.

This kit uses hard lines off the caliper and wheelers uses a modified line instead.

I ordered a custom kit without the brake pads provided as I do not like Hawk LTS pads and went with EBC instead.

I finally got around to rebuilding mine. I got hawk pads and am debating sticking the OEM rotors on it getting new blanks.

I use regular old pads and rotors, whatever Autozone or Oreilly has. In 4 years since I bought it I have changed pads once, have about 40k miles on front pads, at least 80k on the rotors (resurfaced when pads put on). Maybe I just dont slow down enough

No you don't slow down at all! Throttle out!

I have 2 sets of calipers, pads and rotors have to take one set to auto zone for the warranty. Get new pads for free!

135k on my truck and I'm only on my second set of pads. I don't go through brake pads, I go through clutches.

Goodridge stainless Tacoma brake lines bolt to tundra calipers with no modifications. The 3 line kit was like $85.

So do the wheelers kit and the stand alone kit from LCE.

I did not want to bother with piecing together a kit from 3-4 diff suppliers.

I did tundra brakes for less than $300. It doesn't take much to rebuild the calipers from a junkyard and they can be had pretty cheap.

Good call if you have that as an option.
