Need some opinions on my skid plate. Should I paint it black to match the grill or leave it as is?

i think i'd put a bed-liner type coating.....such as herculiner, but thats just me. painting it would look pretty decent too.....just not sure how it would hold up. but yeah....black would look better, imo!

Yep, I rhino-lined mine. (easily touched-up, when those dings and scratches happen)

    Build thread in sig...
i'm with tacomaman and dbbd1. black would look good, but use something tougher than any old paint.
by the way, i love the grill! did you buy it like that, or put the letters on yourself?

I've been thinking about painting mine blaze orange so when I end up rolled over in the middle of the desert (which is very likley) I'm easily spotted....

    Anyone seen/done this?

I bought a base grill off of ebay and then painted it myself with a rattle can. The toyota emblem I also got off of ebay, it's a early 70's landcruiser emblem. It was originally tan, which didn't fit the color scheme, so I painted it with touch up paint.

I would go with line-x,for one it will make that piece a little tougher, and you can get it in any color. But that grill looks great nice work.
