That rock race looks awesome. if the twin hammers and yeti were anywhere near the same size, it'd be fun to pit them up against one another on a course like that.

little bit of upgrade for the crawler. Axial SCX10 knuckles are a perfect fit on the exceed MOA axles. I got some wheel wideners for the crawler because I was finding my track width was limiting performance. most common width with them seems to be snapping the steering arm off of the plastic knuckles, so I proactively upgraded to the ones from GPM. new waterproof bearings, and we're ready to rock!

    old vs new

That would be a really cool track to build in a backyard.

crawler doesn't do too well in the snow either I found. still fun in the tire tracks from the Tacoma though

got some work ahead of me. full bearing kit for the twin hammers came in. tranny needed new bearings, so I figured why not overhaul the whole thing. these fast eddy kits are really convenient.

also may have solved the differential problems I have been having with the summit. seems that blowing up gears with brushless motors can be attributed to the diff cup flexing under loads and un-meshing gears. some billet diff cups should solve that....fingers crossed.

I think it will do the truck on the summit, I don't think I'm gonna go brushless in mine.

I did get the wood to make a workbench today, hope to get it done this weekend.

Hey everybody, i own a Traxxas Slash 4x4. Loooove that truck(almost as much as my Taco!) I just have it for fun and to race my other friends trucks. My last rc car was a Tamiya Fox, so that kinda dates me, but man I'm glad to be back in this hobby. This RC Yota i thought was an incredible detail to scale, its not mine.[IMG]
And this is my Slash playing in the mud

Just finished building my first set of shocks/dampers.
Mugen MBX7r. But they won't be going on a buggy or anything rc. And both of them are setup waaay different. And I will only be using one of them at a time. Anyone want to take a guess?
    For a different hobby.

    Ok,ok.
They just happen to be a direct fitment to the crappy dampers they put on "Fanatec clubsport" racing sim pedals.

yay, moar parts. twin hammers was really in rough shape from all of the water it saw (some salt water, oops). servo being one of the casualties. curious to see how the savox waterproof servo holds up. first one I've tried out. at 220 oz, it's lower torque than the servos I typically buy, but the twin hammers is such a small 10th scale, I feel like it'll be plenty.

My MBX7r dampers are not working with my racing sim setup. If anyone can use them, lmk. Youll need to change the oil as one is 1000 and one is 1200 and they have different springs. But I have 2 sets of springs. Everything is Mugen, Brand new, never used. $50 shipped.

i can see it now...... you'd get curious, and the next video you post would be a low slung 1/10 scale Axial Wraith with a 1/5 scale brushless motor, keeping pace with 1/8 scale truggies :goingcrazy:

you should get something to play with though. anytime I venture farther from home than the grocerie store, I toss a crawler or general bashing truck into the bed, just in case I see something fun along the way.

also have a lot of kids between mine and my fiancés extended family that are in the "old enough to drive an rc" age. great to have non race trucks that they can tool around with. nothing better than seeing people learn and enjoy one of your favorite hobbies :)

Hahaha. I have a team associated t4.2 that's going to get retired when I order my t5m. I'll probably get all the rpm goodies and waterproof electronics in there and let my nephews drive it around some time haha.
