One gives you the ability to go further out into the wild, see nature that most can't see and enjoy sublime solace. Albeit bracket lifts are for posers, but your looking at 20's so you are pre-approved in that respect.

Other gives you a straight up adrenaline feed and will most probably put in a position of someone pulling your card while texting.

Real tough choice there, hard to pick.

I'd get wheels/tires/3" coil over lift and use the remainder to get a used bike.

Stacked spacer lift, 22x12 wheels with stretched 33's, tow mirrors, bull nuts.
3" lift, some 33's, 17" wheels, and a nice used bike. 8k is a lot to drop on a lift/wheels/tires that will only see the mall. Unless that's what you're into I suppose... to each their own. You asked for opinions though. If you have your mind set on one or the other, get the bike.

strictly mall crawlin, I don't plan on climbing dirt/rock hills or hitting the mountains, although I can respect what you off road guys do, I like the look (change from dropped 5.0's) is all...I was raised in the boonies of Hawaii and was always around lifted trucks. my dad had a lifted ford on 44's and used the hell out of it when we went camping in the sand. but when I started driving, I was in the big city...so I guess im sort of in between...I guess like a mall crawler lol

yea, those who have fallen and those who have yet to fall

...I love bikes. I trust myself on them, just not other people on the road

Not worth dying over. If you want bike performance, go build a car. Easily done

theres gonna always be other people on the road, but that wont keep me from riding. I could hit the track, but there are other riders who can take you out as well...just ride as safe as you possibly can and identify the idiots on the road early on whenever possible

Go with a spindle lift and good coilovers for the front since you are a pre runner, and some good shocks and leaf packs for the back. Not sure on how the price will match the drop bracket, but it will be a much nicer ride with the better suspension.

If it were ME, and those were my only two options, I'd go with the R1. If you'd give me a little wiggle room on those two options, I'd probably get a slightly used one and stash the savings away for a little later. If you gave me a little more wiggle room, I'd opt for a newer FJR1300.

I always ride like I'm invisible. Because it doesn't matter where I am, the cage drivers always drive like they can't see me, even when I'm in front of them.

    Need info!

    Do you 4X your truck?
Do you already have a bike?
If not, probably better to have a bike AND a truck than just a lifted truck...
