The feds are making it mandatory that all isp's make 25mbps minimum over the next few years.

 

I'm paying $34.95/month for 6 mbps, plus $7/month for equipment. My actual speed is 10 mbps. 12 month contract, after 12 months it will go to $52/month, plus the $7. But I'll renegotiate the plan after 12 months so hopefully I get a better rate than $52.

Similar to ours, I think the intro rate at 12 mbps is $45 for 12 mbps. He tested my line, and I could go up to 50 mbps if I wanted, but I don't need that at all.

 

I got rid of cable when I moved here in October, because I'm not home enough to watch it, so I have $50 I-net which is fast enough to stream Hulu and Netflix

Pretty much. My dad still gets amazed once a year or so that you can get a USB drive with 100 gb that goes on a key ring.

I get amazed once a year when I find the USB drive I've been looking for, and keep losing, because it's too fucking small.

Not available at my home address. I went with U-Verse, it was either them or Xfinity, and I too don't like Comcast.

 

I just saw that on the news the other day. They want to regulate it similar to electric and gas since it's becoming such a integrated part of our culture. The government feels it's an essential function of our way of life/business.

I have Sonic at work which is literally 2 miles from my home but cannot get Sonic at my condo. But it's okay, since my u-verse connection is many times faster than Sonic is.

 

You can go ahead and hang it up on our patio.
