That is weird. I was wondering if there was another fail safe since the c clip isn't the most sturdy retainer. Also I noticed on one side I can slide the CV back and forth against the hub a bit. Not sure if it's supposed to be that way or if it will cause problems.

Swapped in a new rear third, and I am very happy we don't have Dana style differentials in these trucks. Thank you ECGS for a great product!!

Technically those aren't ellipses. He only used two dots.

So he's really only 2/3rd of a smartass.

Will a slightly slanted topper interfere with a good tune if I mount my antenna in the back bed corner (BAMF bracket)?

Really the smart thing to do is get a folding mount and mount the 3' to the roof basket and just fold it down when not needed. Works great.

Homie, I already have a 3'. I just want to get a 4' so it can stay quite a bit taller than my roof rack and basket. I've never smacked my shell with my current antenna.

    See post above.

I'd just out the antena on the rack.

Put a 3' antenna on top of a rack that sits atop his topper?

Not too many trails he'd be able to run without bashing the shit out of his antenna on tree limbs, no?

Mine would still be taller I bet, and I have no issues with trees

My BAMF mount has some wiggle to it, but don't think it's about to break. :notsure: Someone had one break?

I have a Wilson Flex and love it. No spring, you can bend it over 180*. A lot better option than a heavy Firestik on a spring IMO. Especially for the tight Colorado trails where its constantly smacking tree limbs.

I'm curious as well, that's where I want to put mine when I get it. Is it tuning decently?

I'm not putting it on the roof. No need for it to be THAT tall. This is what I'm talking about. It's never smacked into my shell...

Do you know if that antenna will work with a FireStik mounting stud? I'm not sure if that is a universal thread type or not. This may be a better option for me since I'm wanting to sometimes have it bent forward.

Edit: The FireStik FireFly flexible antenna in 4' is actually lighter than the Wilson Flex. 9.6 oz for FireStik, 10.4 oz for Wilson.

Yea a couple guys recommended it here so I went for it. It's quality speaks for itself.

Also that's exactly what I did when I rebooted my CV's haven't had any problems so far
