    I will end up doing the 2/3 day thing as well, and get a hotel on that Thursday, the 23rd. I'll be leaving from the Waco area if anyone want to meet up. I will most likely do a night time drive and leave Thursday around 3-4 pm.

    Yes beach access 5 has showers/facilities at the entrance or some other members in the past have offered showers in their rooms to members that are camping. Not sure if I'll be getting a room with the wife and kids yet but if we do anyone is welcome to use our place to freshen up.

    There's enough solid sand, we drive close enough to the water that we don't need to worry. Someone always has a tow strap though if it comes to that. Sooooooo see you there man!!! :D
