We go every April just after the Vt. fishing season opens . Still cool out & depending on the winters snow pack The river can be high & fast (danger). About three years ago the water was low & slow. Huge black caddis hatch. Looked like a black snow storm ! Was really nice. I only fish the Vt. end. Arlington & such . The guys @ Orvis gave me a map several years ago. Go to Gloria Jordans Shop just north of town . Wes & Her house with a small sign is on the right side of the road. I am sure you know Wes jordan was the man behind the Orvis company successful bamboo history. I am a bamboo guy & really enjoy my trips to Vt.

If you're going to drop in this thread and brag the least you could do is answer the man's question that's on the same page. Damn, rude :)

Its suppose to snow this weekend but we have been having days that hit 50 degrees. I'm hoping the weather is good enough for a days worth when I get some free time.

Must be nice. Its -3* here and EVERYTHING is frozen over. I was able to get out a few weekends ago when it was in the mid 40*s, but didnt have any luck.

I wish it was still colder. This has significantly cut down on what was suppose to be an awesome ice fishing season for me haha.

Yeah man, Ive heard that before. I used my fly rod on the Cumberland river and caught a nice 3lbs large mouth on it. Def was unexpected and fun to say the least.

I'll be down your way in May. We got invited to the Earnest Graham inshore slam fishing tournament. Can't wait to spend a week fishing in Keys and Tampa.

Enjoyed fishing out of Ruskin a few times as well.
