    I would say 60% of my miles are on a dirt road and the front end of my truck clanks and rattles like crazy and damn near throws you out of the window. Wondering what i should start with to fix the ride. The truck was leveled before i bought it i have no idea what brand or anything about it. Any help would be most welcomed i have searched numerous things and cant find answers sorry if there is a thread!

    Clanks and rattles? Time to start rebuilding the front end but I could be wrong.

    OME 3" kit (885's), LR-UCA's, Dakars, Ext. rear brake lines
    Check to see if you have spacers. If you do, remove them and see if that helps. If it does and you like it, great. If it does and you still don't like it, start researching what suspension you'd like to upgrade to. It's amazing at how much you can learn about your truck on this forum.

    Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    TRD Baja, or if you can find it the TRD Pro suspension. Rides much better than stock :)

    cost 1300-1500 depending on where you order it. Installs pretty easy.

    Or bilstein 5100's ride pretty good and are cheaper.

    Never really that thrilled with my 5100's. Love my Baja setup. That's enough for me :)

    I am sure that there are better out there. But I like it how it is :)

    Spacers are brutal for ride. My last tacoma had a 2.5" levelling kit in front and there was almost no give to the suspension at all. When I got my new 2013 I was soon happy to have a plain old stock suspension again.

    Before you pull them out, decide what you want. If you want a lift at all, or if you want to make an upgrade of any sort over stock now would be the time. The parts will all be off and you will need an alignment anyway.

    You guys don't even know what truck he has or if it's a beater or anything, and you want him to lay out big money on a new suspension. I say take it in to a shop and get a professional diagnosis. He'll have a bill to pay, but his money will be spent wisely... Well, wisely if they don't see him coming. Could be motor mounts, shocks, remove the spacers, alignment, and check for loose nuts on the TW Forum! :D

    We know the truck was levelled and rides like shit. Taking out the levelling kit is a sound start.

    So, doing that will screw up the caster, so git er dun right at a shop with an alignment and an inspection on whatever else it needs.

    Sorry it's a 2013 double cab TRD offroad with 12,000 miles and that's what I was planning on doing is ditching the spacers but I am off road so much I need bigger tires so I want to do something to keep it around A 2 inch lift but the best ride I'm ok with spending $1,500 or so just want something good for being on dirt roads alot. Also thanks for all the replys it's great to get feedback so quick. I've taken it to shops but they are worthless

    Not sure what kind of off road you are doing, but when I started my Tacoma was all stock.
    One of the 1st things I did was remove the Sway Bar. Then I lost my mind and started throwing money at my Tacoma lol. Try a few searches the sway bar removal has a few pros and cons to it.
